Story
Meet Alabama! This sweet and loyal girl is in search of a forever home. Believed to be just over a year old, Alabama weighs between 55-60 lbs. Although we cannot confirm her breed without a DNA test, she appears to be some sort of Great Pyrenees mix. Despite her full-grown size, Alabama has notably shorter legs and isn't as large as your typical Pyrenees. Alabama's history is mostly unknown. She was found wandering around a local lakeside with her companion, Clarence. It is believed that they were strays in search of shelter or food, and were lucky enough to be taken in by a caring foster family. While in foster care, Alabama has been exposed to children aged 10 and older, cats, and dogs of various sizes. She strongly prefers human companionship over other dogs, though she gets along well with Clarence. She can be selective with other dogs. Sweet, goofy, and playful, Alabama has won the hearts of her foster family. However, she has had no formal training and would benefit from a patient and dedicated owner who can help her with basic obedience, socialization, potty training, and all the essentials to become the best dog she can be. Currently kept as an outdoor dog, Alabama will need some guidance adjusting to life inside a home. True to her Pyrenees nature, Alabama loves being outdoors and has a strong guardian instinct. She would make an excellent watchdog, preferring to guard the property rather than stay indoors. Her independent streak and tendency to wander have led her and Clarence to escape their foster yard several times, indicating she would thrive in a home with a fully fenced and secure yard or a large, supervised land area. Alabama has a relatively medium energy level and would love a family who likes to be outside more often than not. She is not suited for apartment living and would do best in a home that understands and appreciates the breed's characteristics. Alabama could be the perfect match if you are looking for an independent, sweet, and loyal companion. She needs a family that will appreciate her love for the outdoors and her guardian instincts. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and heartworm negative

Story
Meet Clarence! This delightful boy is ready to find his forever home with his sweet and affectionate personality. At about 11 months old and weighing around 50 lbs, Clarence is on the smaller side for a Great Pyrenees mix, though his exact breed mix isn't confirmed without a DNA test. Clarence was found with another dog near a lake, and their past is largely unknown. It's believed they were strays that were fortunate enough to be taken in by a caring foster family after no owners came forward. While in foster care, Clarence has been exposed to other dogs of various sizes, cats, and kids aged 10 and older, and he has thrived in this diverse environment. His foster family notes that he's incredibly friendly and has a genuinely sweet personality, although it's apparent he's never had formal training. Clarence will need a patient and dedicated owner to teach him basic obedience, socialization, potty training, and everything necessary to help him become the best companion possible. Clarence has an average energy level but shows typical traits of the Pyrenees breed, known for their independence and tendency to wander. He and his buddy have been known to escape their foster yard, highlighting the need for a secure, preferably non-chain-link fence to prevent any escapades. If you're looking for a loyal companion who needs a little extra guidance and training to reach his full potential, Clarence could be the perfect match. He would thrive in a home that offers plenty of outdoor activities and a secure yard. Clarence is up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, dewormed, on monthly prevention, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm.
