Story
Charlee is a 7-month-old Bernedoodle who recently joined our program from one of our community families, and she’s already stealing hearts. Charlee is a mix between a Burmese Mountain Dog and a Poodle, she already weighs somewhere around 60lbs and will likely continue to grow! This gorgeous girl is still learning about the world, but she’s off to a great start. Charlee is house trained, knows basic commands like sit and down, and is described as pretty much perfect in the home. She’s dog friendly and has previously lived with a cat—though she is currently chasing her foster’s kitty, so she’d need a very confident, assertive cat friend to succeed in a feline-inclusive home. While Charlee shines at home, outings can be a bit overwhelming for her. She can be wary and easily spooked, so a home with a fenced yard is important for her comfort and safety while she continues to gain experience in the real world. She would also really benefit from living with a confident canine companion who can help her build confidence. Charlee is a super sweet, loving gal—but make no mistake, she is VERY much a puppy. She needs appropriate outlets for her energy, consistency, and guidance (not punishment!) while she continues to grow and learn. She’ll also require regular grooming to keep her long coat healthy and comfortable. Charlee has so much potential and truly deserves the very best

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Oreo, a handsome, happy-go-lucky 4-year-old, 94 lb Great Pyrenees / Lab mix who brings the perfect blend of outdoor enthusiasm and indoor calm. Outside, Oreo loves to stretch his legs, run, play, and explore—whether he has playmates or is entertaining himself, a securely fenced in yard is a must for this big boy. Inside, he shifts gears into a much more relaxed companion who’s content to share the couch with you or another dog. He’s a big boy, so his joyful tail wags can be powerful, but they’re full of love. Oreo is a wonderful greeter and delights in welcoming you home with excitement and affection. He happily soaks up all the attention you’ll give and, if you let him, will gladly curl up beside you at night. He knows “no,” “down,” and “sit,” though sitting outside takes him a moment—he’s just so eager to enjoy the outdoors. He’s fully housetrained and crate-friendly, especially if he’s offered a chew toy; once he’s settled in, he naps contentedly. This lovable giant gets along beautifully with visitors of all sizes and is respectful of cats—he’s quickly learned that claws mean business. While not a watchdog, he makes up for it with his friendly charm. Oreo does pull on the leash and can get excited about chasing cars, wildlife, or ATVs, so he’ll benefit from continued guidance/training and safe spaces to run. Car rides aren’t his favorite yet, but with a seatbelt strap and reassurance, he manages just fine. Oreo would thrive in a country setting, a home with property, or an active household that can give him room to play and enjoy life. He’s incredibly sweet and gentle at heart, but due to his size and enthusiasm, he’d do best in a home without small children or elderly individuals who could be knocked over accidentally. If you’re looking for a big, affectionate companion with a playful spirit and a loving soul, Oreo is ready to fill your home with joy, tail wags, and warm snuggles. Meet this dog at Petco on Saturday, Feb 7th from 1-4 pm CST at Petco, 377 W. Jackson St #11 Cookeville, TN 38501.   Interested in adopting? Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. February 2, 2026, 3:30 pm
