Story
I'm Frito, a 1-year-old, male, 9-pound mostly white with some tan Havanese. My new CAWS family rescued me from a puppy mill way from the east, my journey took a couple weeks for us to finally arrive safe and sound, but now my new forever rescue group will be sure to help me find my ultimate furever family. Everything is so new to me but my foster mom and 4 legged siblings just let me decompress and were very, very, very slow to introduce me to the new ways a dog can live and be loved unconditionally. I truly like my other 4 legged siblings, big and small, male and female. After being in my foster home for a few months now I love love love playing with anyone who will play with me so I have to go to a home with another 4 legged companion. I really like to play with the 30-pound heeler sibling in my foster home, she is ever so gentle with me, I really like that. I also play with another 9-pound, 8-year-old male and 13-year-old female, just anyone who will indulge me. We all cuddle on the couch and in an open crate or on the floor with numerous beds for us to pick and choose. I conquered house training, my foster mom gets me out on a regular basis, whew, so I learned very quickly. I do like to nibble on my 2 legged people's toes and fingers so I need to have my own chew toys. Because I am only a year old I am a very busy little body, roaming here and there, darting to and fro, so much to check out. I paw at my foster mom a little when she picks me up. I am still learning this very new way of life so it will take time for me to totally feel 100 percent safe with new and quick motions not scaring me. Because I get startled I cannot go to a home with little kids, I need to be in a home with older people who will go slow with me. I learned to walk on a leash with a harness. My progressions have been so unbelievable, if I don't say so myself, I am pretty darn smart, whew. I have a little squeaky voice when I talk and get excited but it is an ever so soft little squeak. My foster mom tells me every day she likes to hear me make these little noises cuz I really do get to be a dog now. I need to go to a home with a secure fenced yard cuz I am still trying to find security. If you have the patience and time to let this little man open up and become a dog, please arrange for a meet and greet. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Cutie Luigi! ❤️🤩 His gorgeous dark brown eyes, his cute model-like ears, and his glowing smile forever will melt your heart and make you fall in love with him instantly. This precious boy collects all the compliments in the world as he is very sweet, athletic and very smart. He is absolutely adorable and kind. Luigi is a love bug with a fun personality and can build a great relationship with a furry friends, kids and adults. Luigi connected very quickly with his foster brothers and sisters. They became best friends from the moment they met and they are inseparable. They love spending time together doing zommies, catching ball, wrestling with each other, and basking in the sun when it’s nice out. He is great with other doggies and kitties and loves just simply enjoying the company of his fur friends. And if you don’t have another fur baby in your home don’t feel bad as Luigi sees his human as his best friend and will follow you to the moon and back. A completely wood fenced yard is a MUST to ensure a secure environment for his safety and entertainment. Luigi loves toys and this silly goof is just in love with them. He is a pro at taking them out from the toy box and leaving them all over the bedroom floor. Cutie Luigi is very photogenic and enjoys modeling in front of the camera. How can he not??!! That beautiful smile! ❤️ So if you love to take pictures and videos be ready and up your phone storage because his photos will go on the cover of the magazines.😀 Luigi loves to stay warm and he loves wearing stylish jackets and sweaters to look cool!! The boy is a model and he appreciates good taste in clothing, so if you play your cards right he will let you dress him often. 😘 Sweet Luigi good in his kennel and is potty trained. He also enjoys his chill naps with his warm fuzzy blankets or on his soft pillow. So if you need a nap or to watch Netflix he will support you 100% and will nap next to you. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
