Story
Meet our adorably petite girl named Velvet! Velvet is about 3.5 years old and we believe she is a Balinese or Balinese mix. She came to our shelter after her owner was no longer able to care for her properly. Velvet is a friendly girl who enjoys a nice head rub or butt scratch. She enjoys being around other cats and she is a clean girl with her litter box. Velvet can get a little ornery when you mess with her too much or move too quickly for her. She is fine being picked up to be moved. Velvet is a beautiful cat who deserves to be in a loving home! Velvet is good with other cats, but she is extremely uncomfortable around dogs and will lash out at them. She can go to a home with children 12 years old and older who are respectful with cats. If you are interested in adopting Velvet Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! Her adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org
