Story
Low Key is a gorgeous chocolate point Birman with soulful eyes and a quiet, thoughtful nature. True to his name, he prefers a calm, predictable environment and likes to take things at his own pace. New situations can make him nervous, and he’s slow to warm up—but with patience and gentle handling, he shows his sweet, sensitive side. Low Key isn’t a fan of other cats, and he hasn’t been around children or dogs, so he’d do best in a peaceful home where he can be the center of attention (or at least not have to share it). When he arrived, his beautiful coat was badly matted, so he’s currently shaved—though we did our best to leave as much fluff as possible. As his coat grows back in, he’ll need regular brushing and routine grooming to keep him comfortable and mat-free. If you’re looking for a quiet companion and don’t mind giving a little extra time and TLC, Low Key may be your perfect match. He’s a special guy who just needs the right person to help him feel safe and at home. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, ($25-125 +TAX) special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
