This blend of breeds creates a lively and robust canine fond of hunting foxes and rabbits. Renowned for their remarkable endurance and hunting skills, they excel at cornering prey without causing harm, calmly awaiting their owner's approach. At home, they transform into tender and affectionate companions. Generally calm when indoors, they become delightful playmates for children, thanks to their vivacious and playful nature, and they tend to live harmoniously with other dogs. Buck is a gentle pup with a keen desire to please. He has started his leash training, boasts excellent health, and is already adept at crate training and housebreaking. Buck is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm and flea and tick treated and micro-chipped. $115 rescue adoption fee applies. Meet Mazzie 6907 Mazzie became one of the photographer’s favorite canines even before they had the opportunity to join in a bark park odyssey. At the end of the day, the human walks the shelter corridors greeting the dogs and usually becoming the hotdog man with treats to share. Mazzie quickly learned to welcome his approach with her distinctive true to life hound bay, expressed with nicely tempered anticipation and assurance. When he reached her kennel, 7-year-old Mazzie would be waiting expectantly, standing with civility, and accepting a treat with great courtesy. Once in the park, Mazzie, with hound curiosity, checked out the invisible world of sniffs and when requested, proudly posed with a canine air of invincibility. She then turned her attention to a multi-colored “flying” fish with inquisitiveness and imagination. She may not have realized the fortuitous match of Jonquil’s and bandana, but her Mona Lisa smile made it an artist’s symphony.

Every day after the shelter closes, he walks the corridors and says a kind hi to the residents and shares a healthy, delectable treat with all. In these cursory visits he had underestimated the potential and overestimated the age of a quiet, peaceful canine who has become known as Billy Jean. It took only two minutes into the bark park session before the human was reeducated by a spritely, spirited, joy filled Billy Jean.
