Story
Maxwell   Located in Dalton NE 2 years old-ish Hound/ Rottweiler/ Labrador Retriever fusion is our best guess  Dog friendly Cat friendliness unknown but Petunia from the same home is cat friendly  Good with kids of all ages House trained  Crate trained, knows a couple of commands We were told she has some separation anxiety however we haven't experienced this VERY patient  Will be spayed in January 60lbs approx    Maxwell is an amazing dog from west Texas, she was one of 42 dogs in a hoarding situation. When we rescued her she had to go to a rural vet because no one in TX was willing to help her and we couldn't have her whelping in that hell hole. She whelped 5 healthy and happy pups. Eventually thanks to a volunteer she got a ride up to us and arrived to a foster in western NE. She went to a foster home where she raised her 5 pups however since they were adopted a couple months ago she has been in another foster home. She is more comfortable with females than males but absolutely adores ALL children. She is a very sweet girl who has had a rough start but now she's loving being spoiled and loved. She does fine in a crate but really doesn't need one. She has the ability to climb like a goat and is so proud of herself when she reaches her higher destination. We were told that she had separation anxiety however we haven't seen that at all. So not sure if that was environmental or not. What I am sure of is that she is extremely sweet and beyond deserving of a furever home of her own!   If you're interested in helping this sweet girl please contact us!  To Contact Us Message us through our website http://www.highplainspaw.org Message the Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/HighPlainsPAW Join and contact us through our FOSTER GROUP: https://www.facebook.com/groups/836373273962895/?ref=share Fill out our Adoption Application at https://www.highplainspaw.org/adoption-application Fill out our Foster Application at  https://www.highplainspaw.org/foster-application Email us at highplainspaw@gmail.com Call our VOICEMAIL at (402)957-1578  $200.00 Adoption Fee  (Which is considered a non refundable donation and being we are a 501c3 organization it is tax deductible. The fee itself is not negotiable, our vets don't negotiate and thus neither do we.)   WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY ALL OUR DOGS ARE LOCATED IN FOSTER HOMES. This means there is no place for you to go in person to view our dogs. We ask that an application be filled out and we will go from there! We do ALLOW out of state adoptions, HOWEVER the adopter MUST pick the dog up in person and DRIVE or FLY (IN CABIN ONLY) the dog back at the adopters expense. We do NOT coordinate transport.  ##1064735##

Story
Hi! My name's Willow. I arrived here from southern Kansas. I was hungry most of the time, and when I arrived my ribs and hips were showing. But Dolly's has taken good care of me and I'm healthy again & ready to find my forever family now. I'm 4 years old. I live with six other dogs and we're all buddies. I'm kennel-trained and that's where I take all my meals. I don't mind staying in there while my humans are away, but I'm well-behaved and would be fine to roam the home. I really love humans. My fosters have grandkids, and I love them too. I am perfect on the potty-training thing, have never had even one accident. I don't spend a lot of time outside. You could call me lower-than-average energy. Usually sniff around for the perfect spot to do my business and then come back inside to be with my people. We tried to see how I like cats, but initial vibes were "no". I'm pretty good on a leash, but sometimes pull when my nose leads me. I'm a smart girl and take direction well. At night, my fosters have an extra bed for the other dogs. Sometimes I hop up, but most of the time I like my puppy bed on the floor. I've been through some rough times, but everything is OK now. My humans tell me my hard days are behind me now, and I'm excited to meet my forever-humans. Come meet me. Let me amaze you with my hound love! Willow is a female Black & Tan Coonhound who was was born approximately 1-21-20 and weighs 55 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative & given heartworm prevention. She was also provided with a dental to remove some troubling teeth. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment.
