Story
Pancho is a handsome young black and tan coonhound from Blueridge, GA.  He was a stray turned in to the local shelter and rescued by LDR.  He was already neutered and is being totally vetted. Pancho has an old injury in his right eye that is being examined to see if the eye can be saved.  He is very sweet and affectionate, gets along great with other dogs but has not been tested with cats.  He likes to sleep in your arms at night.  This is a great family dog!  If you are interested in adopting him, you must have a fenced yard.  Please email Ron Stoessell at rontoessell@gmail.com for further information.May 8, 2024, 12:02 am

Story
Missy can be described in one word "Sweetness. She loves life. She's very active and will help you get your 10k steps! She loves people and she enjoys playing with other male dogs. A meet and greet would be best if you have a dog. Would be great for agility training. Loves to run and jump. Missy is a really good dog who found herself homeless through no fault of her own like most dogs in shelters. She deserves to find a home that will spoil her. She especially likes to play with Brutus (also for adoption), they LOVE each other. She will need time to decompress from being at the shelter so long. She is active but knows how to calm down and cuddle. If you are having a bad day, she will cheer you up. When we move her from kennel to outside space and back, she insists on getting her hugs before she is moved. She wants all the attention. Professional Hugger! Missy can be fearful of new folks, so if considering Missy, you'll need to make multiple visits to the shelter for her to get to know you. Consider it like dating. First you visit, then perhaps some dog walking to see if you are a good fit. As well, we suggest a one person home as she wants ONLY her person. Care should be taken to introduce new folks to her slowly and methodically. Once she loves you, she REALLY loves you. Come meet her and let her put a smile on your face. She's a special one. Fenced yard recommended.

Story
We would like to introduce you to our girl, Molly. Want a dog that's just a cuddle bug? Want an adult dog so you don't have to go through the puppy stage? Want a pet that doesn't rip their bedding apart? Want a companion that will be "all about you"? Then look no further than Molly. Molly is a 3 year-old loving American Foxhound Mix with gorgeous eyes who just wants to share her love with someone of her own. She is a bit timid here at the shelter and would benefit tremendously from having a home of her own (even a foster home). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, deworming, and starting heartworm prevention and flea/tick control. Come by or call (423-442-1015) to meet and see if she fits in with your family.
