Story
I bet you know exactly why this girls name is Iris. Did you spot the sliver of silver in one of her eyes? Its not a full heterochromia but more like a whisper of it. At an estimated year old and 33 lbs, Iris is a itty bitty cutie girl. We suspect she is a Black Mouth Curr/ German Shepherd mix but in rescue age and breed are offered as educated guesses, never a guarantee. This little girl has all the makings of a wonderful family dog! She is a great size, was so gentle and calm when she met a 3 year old, and exudes happy-go-lucky energy! The other side of that happy energy is a peaceful dog who isn’t vying to be the center of attention but will soak in the love if she is. She is eager to learn and happy to experience all the things the world has to offer! Given her age, attentiveness, and eagerness to please, training Iris is going to be a fun and rewarding experience for you both. When we introduced Iris to other dogs we quickly saw she has a type, with her favorite dogs being the calm and aloof ones. An ideal canine sibling for Josie would be calm but playful. She is definitely a peoples girl and would be equally fulfilled as your one-and-only. Walking on a leash is new to Iris but she has great basics! She’s full of excitement about the possibility of an adventure with you by her side. It really is the sweetest thing to see her light up when she knows you are focused on her, whether its for a training session or a belly rub, you will have her undivided attention! She is a total lovebug, she gives gentle kisses and takes treats with the softest mouth! On top of all of that, she was so good when introduced to our house cat. She showed interest but was perfectly respectful and not pushy at all. When the cat was wandering around the living room she didn’t attempt to chase or even follow the cat. Iris would thrive in a home with a yard for running and playing, a goofy and aloof dog, and would be a great companion for a family with kids. She also has potential to be an only girl living the apartment life. A loving home can look like so many things for Iris thanks to her size and well natured temperament. If you have any questions about iris or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Viola is just so VERY! She is VERY striking, VERY calm and chill, and VERY affectionate. Just look at her blue/brown eye combination – it is so distinctive! Her apricot fur is so beautiful and soft – perfect for cuddling, which is one of her favourite things to do (as long as it includes pets, scratches, and belly rubs too). The darker fur around her muzzle and eyes only adds to her expressiveness – this girl is a stunner! (We have about eleventy-billion pictures of this VERY photogenic girl if you need us to prove it, lol.) Viola is also VERY lovable – her calm, friendly demeanor makes us believe this puppy will be everybody’s friend in an instant! It only took a few minutes for Viola to warm up to complete strangers – this little girl is completely trusting and affectionate. Viola is treat-motivated and also loves to have toys and stuffies around to snuggle and love on. We have yet to hear her voice – even with loud construction noises and barks from other dogs, this easygoing girl didn’t bark or growl. Viola is all about kisses and cuddles – someone will be VERY lucky to add this sweet and delicate girl to their family. (You'll be VERY happy, we promise.) Viola is currently about 3 months old and only 19 pounds. She has long legs but a small frame – we don’t think this little girl will get too much bigger. We think she may be a Blackmouth Cur/Lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. Viola is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Story
Elsa was rescued from the Idaho Humane Society. She is a super sweet and friendly dog. She has a lot of energy and is very muscular. She has been great with my 2 and 6 year old. She plays well with other dogs and cats. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. I’ve never seen her get upset with any person or animal even if my girls pull her ears, tail, lips, etc. We are moving and unable to take her with us. She really deserves a loving home with patience and time to harness her energy. She would do great with an active family.

Story
Ria is ready for the best adventure with you! This affectionate and playful pup needs someone that will lavish all their attention on her. Luckily for you, that will be easy to do – this little girl is so lovable. She loves to be held and given belly rubs almost as much as she likes to play and nap. If you adopt Ria, be sure you are prepared for all the kisses you will get – Ria does not hold back when showing her affection (and we love it that way). Ria is a beautiful tricolour puppy – her body is mostly a soft furry black, but she has tan legs and white ‘boots’. Her head and ears are mostly black, with the cutest brown eyebrows to accentuate her every expression. Ria has a patch of white on top of and underneath her shiny black nose, and also at her chin. She has a distinctive diamond-shaped patch of white fur at the nape of her neck that pops amidst all the black, making her easy to spot from above. Perhaps the best part is her soft white furry belly, which she will show you often while playing and begging for belly rubs. This sweet girl has the best markings and will be quite the stunner as she grows! You are sure to be entertained by all of Ria’s classic puppy antics. She loves to jump and play with all eight (8!) of her siblings and would do well in a house with other dogs, or as the sole star of your attention. This litter was born in care, and Ria is one of the six girls of this litter (that also has three boys). Ria is currently just 5 weeks old and only a few pounds, and we think she may be a Black Mouth Cur/Boxer mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This sweet boy might be the smallest of his litter, but he has a big personality! Javi Balbina is a smooth soft white colour with a few small tan spots on his left ear and one on the top of his head. His eyes are his most distinctive feature – one is surrounded by a circle of darker brown and the other is just white/pink. Just wait until you see him wink at you! Javi also has the cutest black spotted nose – it reminds us of a sweet little heart. This boy loves to jump and play as much as he likes to snooze.
