Story
Meet Sticky Bun — the sweet senior gentleman with a heart of gold! After more than 90 days in the shelter, Sticky Bun is overdue for a soft place to land. This loving, low-key guy deserves a home where he can finally relax.Sticky Bun is easy to manage, polite, and wonderfully calm. He leashes and walks beautifully, rides quietly in the car, and has been a total gentleman during off-site visits and public outings. He engages politely with new people and has shown relaxed, appropriate behavior around other animals—including cats.In foster care, he’s proven to be the ultimate “go-with-the-flow” companion. His foster describes him as happy-go-lucky, affectionate, and perfectly content to chill on the couch. He shares resources politely, ignores cats, and has been wonderfully tolerant with the foster’s young, energetic dog. He’s even enjoyed slow, gentle play once settled in! Sticky Bun isn’t possessive with toys, food, or space—he’s simply an easy, loving boy looking for comfort and connection. If you’re searching for a relaxed, affectionate companion who gets along with everyone and brings instant calm to your home, Sticky Bun is the perfect fit. He’s ready for his soft landing—and he’s so deserving of it. Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Story
Meet Maisie! Good with dogs? Yes. Maisie plays enthusiastically with medium and large dogs. She is a high energy girl and loves to play with other dogs her size with similar play style. Good with cats? No. Maisie has a high prey drive which could be typical of her breed. We do not recommend a home for her with other small animal pets. Good with kids? Maisie doesn't know her physical limits or boundaries yet. It's not aggression but clumsiness and enthusiasm. She may do well in a home with older children. She is working on not jumping up but could easily knock small children over. Energy level? This is a high energy girl who delights in play, exercise, walks/hikes and adventure. She loves to ride in the car! She is athletic and strong. Medical/behavioral needs? Maisie has no known medical needs. She does resource guard her food from other dogs. She does not display similar behavior with humans. She eats voraciously, but she takes treats very gently. House trained? Maisie is mostly house trained, but she does have occasional accidents. Her communication is the same whether she wants to go out or she's hungry, so she needs someone to teach her a specific communication for needing to go potty. Animal Characteristics? Maisie is a super intelligent young dog who will thrive with obedience training and who loves a mental challenge. When she sets her mind to something (finding a hidden toy or solving a doggie puzzle, for example) she is determined and tenacious to the end! She knows the following commands: Out of here. Off now! Potty outside? Go inside. Thirsty? Hungry? Come! Get your toy! And she understands directional hand gestures. She likes to show off her toys, but she doesn't want them taken from her. She doesn't get mean--just very enthusiastic about the game "keep away." Although she is slow to warm to strangers, once she has developed trust (treats and patience help) she displays strong desire to be near her people. You’ll know you’ve arrived when she nudges your hand to be petted. She is very affectionate, loves belly rubs and will try to climb up and sleep on your lap. If that’s not possible, she will nap at your feet. Although she will go and sleep in her crate, if the door is closed, she barks and cries. She would much rather sleep on the bed with her people. Maisie will be a very loyal and loving dog to the right family!

Story
Meet Corbin, your Laid-Back Best Friend! Corbin is a 6-year-old 67lb Black Mouth Cur and Pitbull mix with a heart as big as his adorable floppy ears. He's been thriving in his foster home and is ready to find his forever family! Corbin is neutered house-trained and crate-trained & a total gentleman around the house. He quickly learns routines and is respectful of household boundaries. A calm and easygoing companion Corbin rarely jumps on people or barks. He enjoys leisurely walks with plenty of sniffing time and loves a good game of fetch especially with a frisbee or his favorite stuffies. His ideal day? About 8 hours of napping 8 hours of sleeping and 8 hours filled with walks peanut butter treats and a toy (or two) to deconstruct.Corbins beautiful golden coat gentle personality and excellent crate manners earn him lots of compliments! While his foster home doesnt have other pets or kids hes done well with kids 4+ and other dogs when hes encountered them. His experience with cats and small children is unknown, however. Hes a homebody at heartwhile car rides arent his favorite (motion sickness is manageable with an antacid) he loves hanging out with his people. Hes not a big snuggler but enjoys being in the same room as his family. He welcomes head scratches from everyone and belly rubs from his favorite people. Corbins foster family adores him and knows hell make a wonderful companion. Could he be the perfect match for you?
