Story
Jaxon`s Compatibility:Dogs - Meet & GreetCats - Not for JaxonKids - Yes, 14+Meet Jaxon, a fun-loving and affectionate dog who’s ready to be your best friend! Surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him, Jaxon is eager to start fresh with a family who will appreciate his playful spirit and loving nature. He’s all about cuddles on the couch and will greet you with pure joy every time you walk in the door—expect lots of tail wags, jumps, and face licks! Jaxon is a sweet boy who loves his humans and takes treats ever so gently. This energetic pup is a blast to be around, and while he can get a bit mouthy during play, a simple “no biting” is all it takes for him to settle down and keep the fun going. He’s a little choosy with other dogs, so he’d do best in a home where introductions are done slowly, and he’d be happiest with teens aged 14 and up and no cats. Jaxon is ready to bring his lovable energy and affection to a new home—could it be with you? Come meet him today and let this sweet boy steal your heart!

If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Adoption Application.   ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis.  We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.  Meet Corbin – Your Laid-Back Best Friend! Corbin is a 6-year-old, 67lb Black Mouth Cur and Pitbull mix with a heart as big as his adorable floppy ears. He’s been thriving in his foster home and is ready to find his forever family! Corbin is  neutered, house-trained, and crate-trained —a total gentleman around the house. He quickly learns routines and is respectful of household boundaries. A  calm and easygoing  companion, Corbin rarely jumps on people or barks. He enjoys leisurely walks with plenty of sniffing time and loves a good game of fetch, especially with a frisbee or his favorite stuffies. His ideal day? About 8 hours of napping, 8 hours of sleeping, and 8 hours filled with walks, peanut butter treats, and a toy (or two) to deconstruct. Corbin’s  beautiful golden coat ,  gentle personality , and  excellent crate manners  earn him lots of compliments! While his foster home doesn’t have other pets or kids, he’s done well with kids 4+ and dogs his size in other settings. His experience with cats, small children, or small dogs is unknown. He’s a homebody at heart—while car rides aren’t his favorite (motion sickness is manageable with an antacid), he loves hanging out with his people. He’s not a big snuggler but enjoys being in the same room as his family. He welcomes head scratches from everyone and belly rubs from his favorite people. Corbin’s foster family adores him and knows he’ll make a wonderful companion. Could he be the perfect match for you? Priscilla’s Compatibility:Dogs - Meet & GreetCats: TBDKids: Yes, 10+If you’re looking for a sweetheart who just needs a little TLC and a lot of love, meet Priscilla! This young pup hasn’t even turned two yet, but she’s already capturing hearts with her gentle eyes and soft, submissive nature. She arrived as a stray, hungry, unsure, and ready to start fresh.Priscilla is still learning how to be a dog. Everything is new and a little overwhelming right now, but she’s trying her best. She’s polite when eating, even though food is a big deal to her. And we totally get it because she’s making up for lost time. With a little structure and a lot of snacks, she’s going to blossom. She’s not sure what to make of toys just yet, but she’s curious about the world and gaining confidence every day. If you’ve got a patient home and a soft spot for shy pups with big potential, Priscilla might just be the perfect addition to your pack. Come meet her and show her what it means to be loved!
