Meet Aria!Aria is a 3-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix that came to AHeinz57 as a mom to a litter of puppies. We are not sure of her past experiences, but she is wary of small spaces and of new people. Aria is loyal girl, but very protective of her people. She adores the children in her foster home, but because she is still unsure of new people, a home without kids would be best as fast movements, loud noises, and many new changes can make her nervous. Aria takes her time warming up to new faces, but with consistency and patience, she has shown she can build trust with multiple meet-and-greets to help her feel safe and secure. Due to this, she will require a 6-foot, privacy fenced yard so she can be her best self in the safety of her own space.Once Aria has become comfortable, she can be a loving companion who just wants to be part of a patient and caring home where she can continue to thrive. In her foster home, she is still working on her leash skills but so far, is not a fan of being kenneled or crated. She is well-mannered, potty trained, and knows her basic commands like sit, stay and shake. She also likes going on walks, soaking up the sun, riding in the car, playing tug-of-war and munching on ice cubes. Meet Tempest!Tempest is a sweet 1-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart that’s learning to trust again. When she first arrived at the rescue, she was frightened and confused after coming from a stressful situation. With time, patience and lots of love, Tempest has started to decompress and is showing her sweet, affectionate side.Once Tempest gets to know you, she’ll greet you with excitement, cuddles and plenty of kisses! Until she warms up, she can be a little vocal and may bark at new people, but that’s just her way of saying she needs time to feel safe. She may require a few meet-and-greets before she feels completely comfortable.Tempest loves running around outside and enjoys playtime with her sister, Atari. She does resource guard her favorite people from other dogs, so she’d do best in a home that understands her need for boundaries. We don’t currently know how she does with cats or kids. Tempest does keep her kennel clean and walks well on a leash.If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love once she trusts you, Tempest is waiting for her forever home! Frances is the total opposite of rowdy. Frances never met a stranger & thinks everyone is or should be her friend :) She jumps up on people for hugs. Walks well on leash & is crate trained. She has been through alot in the past 6 months and has finally been ready for her own family. Frances is going to be a great addition to any home. She'd love a yard & kids / dog to play but would also would do well as only dog getting all the attention! She is flexible like that. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

With a gentle introduction, he can even get along famously with cats, showing his adaptable nature. But what truly sets Tinka apart is his affection for children. He adores kids and is their loyal and patient friend, always ready to share his love and wagging tail. His good heart shines through in every interaction, making him the perfect addition to any family seeking a smart, sweet, and loving companion. Tinka was with the rescue as a puppy (see cute puppy pic) and was returned after found on the streets of SA :( But he is an amazing boy, had some special obedience training with his previous family and now he can be YOUR new family member!!! She would thrive in a calm, patient home that can help her continue building confidence, and she’d love a confident doggy friend to learn from. She is crate trained and often uses her crate when things get a bit too busy. Zelie is good with other dogs and is just now learning how to be a dog herself — playing, exploring, and enjoying the fun of having canine friends. She’s also good with cats; she’s curious but respectful and leaves them alone. Zelie is looking for a family who will continue to help her grow, gain confidence, and discover the joy of being a beloved dog. She’s ready to find her forever.
