Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi Friends, I go by Lily and here is my story. I had a true ruff start in life and was surrendered to Minneapolis Animal Care and Control. I was very shy in the shelter, but came around for some people if I was not pushed to hard. Since joining my foster home I have been fantastic with a small group of people who have given me treat-os to help me warm up. Once a person is in, my love is undeniable. I love giving kisses and coming and laying my head in your lap for pets. In my foster home I also have met a close dog friend, Domino Dancer. He has a goofy play style and we are a great combination. Here are some videos of us having fun: https://youtu.be/xUwuOMbWD-w?si=A5hXE-_HeUbPJl1q  I have not warmed up as quickly to the other dogs in my foster home and have shown some reactivity, so I may be a slow intro kind of girl. I did do well with dogs in the shelter, so I have it in me to make more friends. I am great at showing off my skills at sitting and shaking. I am a real fast runner, and I can jump pretty impressively, so a 6 ft fence is strongly recommended. My ideal owner would be patient as I learn and grown and gain more confidence. My foster mom says I am a sweetheart and will make someone really happy.   Jynx is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. Story
Hi! I'm Rosabelle, my foster family just calls me Rose or Rosa. I am a Black Mouth Cur mix born around 1/2019. I would love to meet you! I am so excited to find a family to call my own. I love car rides and will just relax and stare out the window. I also love to cuddle, any human affection is my love language.  I am kennel and house trained. I do love dogs but I can just be picky about what female dogs I like. I've never had an issue with a male but most females I've met, I simply don't want to be friends with! I can't go to a home with small critters like cats, rabbits or chickens. Small dogs are fine, I've just made it my life's mission to chase the others. My momma says I have a pretty high prey drive.  So, with all that said, I was wondering if you'd be willing to consider being my new family? I would really love to meet you!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $495.00  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 25, 2024, 2:20 pm

Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

Story
Meet May! She's mastered all basic obedience training thanks to classes with Swift K9 Training. She LOVES people and kids, but would do best in a home with children over 8. She does not mind cats at all and completely ignores them. She loves her crate--it's her safe space. She is great on leash and loves walks. May is about 4.5 years old and weighs 55 pounds. She would do best in a home as an only dog, and needs a quiet, calm environment willing to take things slow to help her adjust to home life. She has a lot of love to give to someone who can give her a chance. Her trainer from Swift K9 is happy to chat with anyone interested in adopting her, and will come to your home for a free acclimation session if you're local!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Meet Runner! This sweet girl got her name from following her finder home on a run! She probably knew she’d found someone who would help her. She’s a little nervous, but it’s only her first day at the rescue. Her finder had her for a month and fully house trained her, and she knows her manners. Runner is about 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds. She looks like a Black Mouth Cur mix, but she has a fluffy tail and some interesting coloring on her legs. She walks well on a leash, and is learning that the world is a fun place to explore when you have a safe, warm home and regular food every day! She’s good with other dogs and people, and would love to keep building her confidence. We’ll update as we learn more about her!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats.
