Story
✨ AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ✨ Scooby | Male | 2–3 Years | Boxer/Ridgeback Mix | Neutered | Vaccinated | Microchipped | Good with Dogs & Kids 🐾 Meet Scooby — The Snuggly, Silly, Soul-Healing Gentleman 🐾 Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you? Most likely curled up under a blanket, leaning into your side, or offering you a slow tail wag that could melt even the toughest heart. After a rough start and far too many days spent in an SPCA kennel, Scooby is finally experiencing what love feels like — and he’s more than ready for a forever family to call his own. Inside the home, this big, gentle boy is calm, quiet, and wonderfully easygoing. He rarely barks, settles beautifully, and has a softness about him that makes everyone who meets him fall instantly in love. He’s fantastic with kids - mindful, patient, and gentle despite his size - and he’s just as sweet with other dogs. When playtime hits, his goofy side comes out in full force. Scooby is a joy to play with: zoomies in the yard, tennis balls, squeaky toys, or any game that includes his people — he’s all in. He’s not possessive and loves to share, making play sessions fun, relaxed, and full of laughter. And the cuddles? Next level. Scooby lives for closeness. He’ll rest his big head on your lap, tuck himself beside you, or sneak in a gentle kiss. Sing him the Scooby Doo theme song and he’ll even sway and wag along - his own little happy dance. Scooby has excellent house manners and shows no signs of separation anxiety. Whether you’re home or out running errands, he’s content to snooze, chew on a toy, or wait patiently for your return. Car rides? He’s the perfect passenger, calm and happy, always hoping for a hand to rest his head on. This boy has been through more than he ever deserved, yet his spirit remains soft, loving, and unbelievably sweet. Now he just needs a home that sees the treasure he is — a family ready to give him the safety, companionship, and endless snuggles he’s waited so long for. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a heart as big as his goofy grin, Scooby might just be your perfect match. 💛

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.RIVIAN hails from Constance Lake and headed south to find her forever family. She’s spayed, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped and has been deemed a healthy girl by her vet. She was found all alone with no other family around so the breeds we have her listed as and the weight she’ll grow to be is just an educated guess. This super sweet young lady enjoys being is very social and loves to be around people as well as other dogs but she’s now decided she’s not a fan of female dogs. So we’re now saying that if there’s a dog in the home it should be a male one. She knows all the basic commands and sits nicely for her meals plus will take treats “gentle.”  RIVIAN is house trained and she knows to take her bathroom breaks outside and when she’s on her walks. She’s crate trained and the odd time will complain when she goes in but she does settle down quickly and then will sleep quietly in it all night. She’ll also take her naps in it during the day and she often goes on car rides (which she loves) and is crated in the vehicle. She has lots of toys she plays with and is quite happy when she has a bone to chew on or even avow hoof. She’s very social and has several dogs in her foster home and she really enjoys chasing them and playing in the yard. It should be noted that she was recently adopted but then returned to the rescue due to an interaction with a cat in the home even though she was fostered with a cat with no problems at all so we’re saying 100% no cats or small critters in the home. Once she was returned to rescue our wonderful puppy trainer said she would take her to foster. She’s doing great with her and is becoming used to a structured routine. The trainer has noticed that she can be bossy so a dog savvy adopter for her is a must. She also has some tendencies to resource guard but nothing crazy that she can’t be trained out of. She also mentioned she has a lack of impulse control and that’s being worked on with the trainer too. She has been around children and they all love her but if there’s any in the home we are saying they should be aged 12 and up as per her foster/trainer put it “is a bit of a brute with her plays and cuddles so no kids under 12. Is super loving. Loves her big yard!” Any children should be very dog savvy and be loving, kind and gentle to animals.  RIVIAN’s ideal family (besides being very dog savvy) would also be a very active outdoorsy type who’ll take her on lots of walks and hikes in the woods. She travels well in a vehicle so she’d love to go where you go and that includes adventures, camping and trips to the lake as she loves to go swimming. She will need a family that’s committed to continue her obedience training to make sure she’s the best girl possible. This of course can be continued with our trainer but you can take her to your own trainer to continue it if preferred. It’s also a great way for her new adopter to form a bond with her. A fully fenced-in yard is required for her so she can run around and play to burn off some of that “Rivian” energy.  If RIVIAN sounds like the perfect girl for your active home then please submit an adoption application to meet her.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 4, 2025, 1:59 pm

**Note: Guzzi is in a foster home in Pickering, ON Background: Guzzi was rescued from a dog meat farm in Ganghwa, Korea, alongside 50 other dogs in December 2022. She lived at our boarding house with other dogs until she left Korea. Curerntly, she lives with another dog in a foster home in Pickering, ON. Personality and Socialization: Guzzi is a calm, gentle girl with a medium energy level. Initially a bit shy, Guzzi warms up quickly with a little patience. She has a gentle, laid-back nature and has been a well-behaved girl at the boarding house. Once she gets to know you, she becomes very friendly and affectionate. She enjoys being around people but isn’t demanding—when left alone, she waits patiently and remains calm. She gets along well with other dogs, particularly those with a friendly and easygoing nature. She’s respectful of boundaries and understands when another dog needs space, waiting patiently without pushing. Guzzi has not been tested with cats or young children. Behavior and Training: Indoors, Guzzi is quiet and well-mannered, making her an easy companion. She handles car rides, vet visits, and even baths with patience—though she may feel a little nervous at first, she looks to her humans for reassurance. With her affectionate and trusting nature, Guzzi thrives in a calm environment where she feels secure and loved. Health and Diet: Guzzi is in good health—she’s fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped, with clear parasite tests, including heartworm. She takes monthly parasite prevention and eats dry kibble twice a day with no known allergies. Ideal Home: Guzzi’s gentle and adaptable personality makes her a good fit for many types of homes. Whether she’s the only dog, or part of a family with another canine companion. She would love a home where she can enjoy leisurely walks and cozy moments with her family. Having waited two years for a place to call her own, Guzzi is ready to begin her new life. After surviving the cruelty of the dog meat trade, she deserves the warmth of a loving home where she will be cherished. Whoever adopts this loving girl would be very lucky. Story
**Note: Currently, Bentley is in Korea, but she will fly to Vancouver once she is adopted. Background Bentley was rescued in December 2022 from a dog meat farm in Ganghwa, Korea. Since then, she has been living safely at our partner boarding house, where she has shared space with other dogs. She also spent time at our manager’s home alongside both cats and dogs, though the two were mostly kept separate. Personality & Socialization Bentley is a gentle and affectionate girl with a medium energy level. She loves being close to her humans, enjoying snuggles and quiet companionship. With other dogs, she does well as long as they are calm and friendly. She isn’t a fan of pushy or overly dominant dogs and prefers her space when needed, but as long as others respect her boundaries, she gets along just fine. Behaviors Bentley is a wonderfully easy companion. She is quiet, rarely barks, and has shown no destructive behaviors. She is well-mannered at the vet, during car rides, and even bath time. On walks, she follows her human’s lead beautifully and enjoys exploring at a relaxed pace. Health & Diet Bentley is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. She has been dewormed, takes monthly parasite preventatives, and has passed a full veterinary checkup with no health concerns. She has shown no signs of allergies and enjoys her dry food meals twice a day. Ideal Home Bentley would thrive in a calm and loving home with a family experienced in caring for larger dogs. A quiet house with a fenced backyard would suit her best, rather than a busy condo setting. She would love to be with someone who is home often—whether retired or working from home—so she doesn’t spend long hours alone. While she can get along with respectful dogs, Bentley would be happiest as the only pet where she can soak up all the love and attention. ------------------------ For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/bentley/
