Story
We found Max by Gods Grace by Hwy 36. He (Max) barely had enough energy to trot off of the road, and looked lost. My wife and pulled over with our kids, and put him in the back of our car. Within a few minutes he was passed out in the back. We drove him around to find his owner, but no one had seen him there. Since we have had him, we have loved seeing him come back to life! He had a belly full of hook worms, was dirty, and had fleas when we first picked him up. Over the course of 2 weeks, he has returned to being a puppy, and is VERY good at picking up on our training. He is potty and kennel trained, and is doing a great job not jumping, and is sitting and coming very well! He is doing well both inside and out, and really loves both of us and our children! Max needs a home where he can get all the attention and training he needs! He competes for time with our kids and weiner dog, and we are at our limit with what we can handle. We will keep training Max as best as we can.

Story
Looking for a fun and sweet sibling for your dog? Look no further! This girl gets along with every dog she has ever met. Cali will also definitely make a good companion for someone who wants an easy going, low maintenance dog. I rescued her as a puppy from a local rescue who said they found her and her siblings in the bushes. She is currently in a kennel about 20 hours a day because I am gone so much. I have recently been through a divorce and am finding that I can no longer give Cali and her 2 siblings the care they deserve. She will definitely do best with someone who is retired and home to give her the attention she deserves. * extremely gentle * loves cuddles every now and then * mostly content just sleeping or playing with other dogs * crate trained and house trained, current on her heartworm prevention, and easy to walk * gets along well with all dogs, definitely submissive though, so can be bullied easily * was very close with my cat, who recently passed at 15 years old

Story
Tommy, formerly known as Taco because he was found as a stray at a taco stand, is an all-around good dog. He thinks he is a lap dog so don't tell him otherwise. He loves to snuggle and be petted. He is the ultimate go-with-the-flow dog, as he showed while with three dogs and a teenager over a period of two weeks at the stray finder's home, and also with five dogs over a period of three months at his foster home while he was getting treated for heartworms. He is now cleared for adoption without any restrictions and has gained weight (~60 lbs) and confidence. He loves to play chase and wrestle with his dog friends and will frequently check on his humans with kisses or licks. He likes car rides and will get on the backseat before you know it if the car door is open!Tommy can adjust to any type of household easily whether his dog friends are active/lazy, loud/quiet, young/old, playful/loner and with/without children at home. He is not possessive of food/treats/toys and is happy to share with others. Maybe it comes from living on the streets as a stray or his natural maturity. He is an inside dog. He is house trained, leash trained, and well versed in living inside the house. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, and no. He never needed any disciplining. At his foster home, he had free roam of the house, was allowed to get on the couch and had his own bed to sleep on in the main bedroom. He is alert and warns when someone approaches the door or hears noises in the backyard but otherwise quiet. On walks, he can be easy but he also pulls when he picks up scents or sees squirrels, rabbits or cats. He does not get along with cats, rabbits or small mammals at home.Tommy is currently staying at the foster home and will return to the shelter soon. Please don't hesitate to contact his foster, Ram at CAPdogfoster@gmail.com or (281) 202-9076 with any questions. Tommy will make a great addition and companion to any family. (tw, rr 4/27/2024)
