Story
Oh my is Brownie Butters not the cutest pup you've ever seen? With a face like that, paired with those big golden brown puppy eyes, he is hard to resist. It also doesn't help that he has that forever puppy face that everyone loves. Brownie Butters is more than his looks, he has a great happy go-lucky go with the flow personality, is dog friendly, super smart, kid friendly, and love everyone he meets. What more can you ask for in a companion? Watch his video and fall in love with this handsome boy: https://youtu.be/810fjo1wOIA?si=W2pi9RKDvL8-FQ3i Brownie Butters is a lab mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 63 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Brownie is dog friendly and has done great with all of the dogs we have introduced him to. He loves dogs who love to play and have a happy go lucky vibe about them. When he finds a buddy who likes to play like he does, he's all four paws down and ready for a game of tag you're it! Brownie likes to keep things lighthearted, not super physical, and likes to bounce along side his doggy friends. He's not all play all the time either, so no need to worry about your house turning into a 24/7 dog park. He appreciates those calmer moments and after a good wrestling match, play breaks end mutually and you’ll find him off exploring or he’s next to a person soaking in all the affection. He would be best in a home with a dog who is looking for a playmate that can match his play style, one that also enjoys the company of another dog, and appreciates those calmer relaxing moments as well. When it comes to training, this boy loves treats and will do anything for a treat and some encouragement. Treats are one of the ways to this boy's heart. He takes treats very gently too and I love the way his ears perk up when you’re teaching him a new trick and the way his eyes light up and they are 100% focused on you. He already knows how to sit and will even automatically sit for you too from time to time. On a walk, Brownie does pull a little bit at the beginning out of initial excitement but after a few minutes and some guidance he is walking like a gentleman and is an enjoyable walking buddy. He has a curious nose and likes to smell all the smells while also looking up and checking in with you from time to time. Especially if you're telling him how handsome he is LOL he looks up at you with the biggest smile. He is crate trained and potty trained and his foster mom reports that he has wonderful house manners. Outside of the occasional counter curiosities if a yummy snack is left out. Note to self, if you’re planning to have left overs, put it out of nose reach LOL. Brownie is the perfect combination of affection while also being independent. He's not overly needy with his love nor does he ever over do it. If you're someone that works from home, he'll be a great work from home buddy because he's not going to be constantly begging you for attention or getting into things he shouldn't be (he has wonderful house manners I might add). He's the type that will come up to you when the time is right for a little ear/nose scratch almost as if he knew you needed a 5 min break from work. As for the rest of the time, he's a window watcher and loves looking out windows or he'll be playing with a toy. Brownie would thrive in a home with a semi-active family looking for a buddy to take with them on adventures, explore those trails you have saved on the map, and a loving companion for you to show them all about what it means to be loved and cherished. He would do best in a home with a backyard in the suburbs where he can stretch his legs, romp around, and enjoy the sunshine. Brownie is also fostered in a home with kids ages 12 and up and is fantastic with them! He’ll make a great addition to a family with kids too! We are willing to test Brownie Butters with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Viola is just so VERY! She is VERY striking, VERY calm and chill, and VERY affectionate. Just look at her blue/brown eye combination – it is so distinctive! Her apricot fur is so beautiful and soft – perfect for cuddling, which is one of her favourite things to do (as long as it includes pets, scratches, and belly rubs too). The darker fur around her muzzle and eyes only adds to her expressiveness – this girl is a stunner! (We have about eleventy-billion pictures of this VERY photogenic girl if you need us to prove it, lol.) Viola is also VERY lovable – her calm, friendly demeanor makes us believe this puppy will be everybody’s friend in an instant! It only took a few minutes for Viola to warm up to complete strangers – this little girl is completely trusting and affectionate. Viola is treat-motivated and also loves to have toys and stuffies around to snuggle and love on. We have yet to hear her voice – even with loud construction noises and barks from other dogs, this easygoing girl didn’t bark or growl. Viola is all about kisses and cuddles – someone will be VERY lucky to add this sweet and delicate girl to their family. (You'll be VERY happy, we promise.) Viola is currently about 3 months old and only 19 pounds. She has long legs but a small frame – we don’t think this little girl will get too much bigger. We think she may be a Blackmouth Cur/Lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. Viola is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/663a6f4fc9c0706e6c070d9a Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
**Now fostered in Lake Stevens, WA** 🌼 Meet Sadie Sue — your gentle little sunshine bug 🌼 Sadie Sue is a seven-month-old squishy-eared cuddle muffin who looks like she was handcrafted out of velvet and kindness. She’s got the floppiest ears that are absolutely one size too big for her head, the softest warm eyes, and a tiny white speckled triangle on her nose that makes her look like she dipped her snout in powdered sugar. She is so adorable it should count as a superpower. Watch Sadie's video here! https://youtu.be/IhdTS5lZZTI?si=E6RZPqAREowkk0CP Sadie is a sweet, gentle, thoughtful little soul who LOVES other dogs. Her best friend ever is a lovely girl named Honey — the calm, goofy, polite type — and watching them together was instant serotonin. Honey invited her to play. Sadie hopped up on the couch with her, and they sat side-by-side like old friends at brunch. She made a whole group of dog friends — Leroy, Honey, and Charlie — all confident, respectful pups who invited her into their little circle. Sadie Sue really finds her courage around calm, self-assured dogs, and a playful but respectful dog buddy would help her blossom beautifully. She also did amazing with the kitty friend she met — Biggie! Biggie gave her a sniff, she sniffed him back, and then Sadie Sue calmly wandered away like, “Nice to meet you, sir.” They even free-roamed together with the leash dropped, exploring the same corners of the room in the sweetest, chill way. She was polite, curious, and respectful — so a kitty sleepover is absolutely recommended to make sure Biggie’s cousins approve too. She was lovely with kids as well — calm, gentle, and totally appropriate. She let them sit next to her on the couch and accepted affection sweetly. We’d recommend older or mature kiddos (around 8+) who can understand giving her space at first and moving slowly. Now for what makes Sadie Sue extra special: she’s a slow-bloom kind of girl, the type who warms up in layers. Once she trusts you, she’s soft, loyal, and absolutely precious, but she’ll need a little extra time and patience to get comfortable in her new world. She’s brand-new to leash pressure and still figuring out how to be brave on walks, so she will do best in a home with a yard rather than an apartment — somewhere quiet, safe, and roomy where she can learn at her own pace. A generous decompression period will help her settle in and start showing her true goofy, gentle self. Sadie Sue takes treats like a delicate little flower, loves other respectful animals, and has all the makings of a deeply loving, heart-warming companion. If you’re the kind of family who celebrates the soft, sweet victories — a tail wag, a gentle lean, a quiet moment of trust — Sadie Sue will be the most rewarding, unforgettable girl you’ve ever loved. Story
Gigi is sweet and gentle with a quiet approach to life. I have not one time seen her have a sense of urgency to her, for a treat, on-leash, or to jump-up from a nap. She is slow and steady and moves in a way that would be best described as thoughtful. Take a look at gentleness in action then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/X1QT6Rkxk5A Estimated to be 7 years young, she is a 55 lb Black Mouth Cur/Shepherd mix. We anticipate she has about 5 lbs to gain still so topping off around 60 lbs. Of course, with rescue, breed and birthday are details we cannot know or guarantee. She’s currently more of a couch companion than a hiking buddy, but as she settles in, her playful side is starting to show. I got such a kick out of watching her explore a bunch of dog toys, you could see she was excited about them but was also shy about it, taking a toy and turning away to chew on it or boop it for the squeak. With another dog in the room interested in the toys, she easily made room for her to feel comfortable and had no problem sharing. Thanks to her low energy, quiet nature, and polite leash manners, an apartment could suit her well but she’d also love a quiet home with a yard where she could occasionally chase a passing butterfly- something that did recently happen on a walk. Short version- Gigi is great on leash but a big butterfly going by was so intriguing she got a little extra pep in her step and surprised our Director of Behavior while on an outing together. The telling of the story is comically cute! Gigi is a great car-rider with anyone who has taken her out sharing just how quiet and respectful she is. During a recent car-ride she sat shotgun while her driver enjoyed lunch on-the-go and Gigi did not once push toward helping herself to any. She can be a little shy at first, sometimes retreating if approached too quickly- she is happiest when people let her make the first move, which always ends in sweet tail wags and soft eye contact once she’s decided you’re safe. When she was introduced to new dogs she was polite, walking calmly by other dogs and greeting nicely. Once off leash she was comfortable in their presence but is more companion than playmate, preferring to carve out her own space or check in with a person, when the dogs got a little rowdy. Gigi would do best in a home with a low-energy, respectful male dog or as the one-and-only. She’s a fan of cats but not in the way that makes her a good fit to live with them. When she met out house cat she was interested in meeting him and then as he got more playful she went to match that energy with a playful lunge not welcome by cats. It is easy to see she would attempt to play with a cat and/or overwhelm them with her eager interest, so a feline-free home is a must. Gigi’s looking for someone who will appreciate her slow and steady approach to life and be in full support, by her side for it, one quiet moment at a time. Romeo is a great guard dog and can be protective with people he does not know, so would do best in a non-congested area where neighbors aren't a concern. Romeo also has a prey drive, so needs a strong owner. He has done great with other dogs in a home setting. He's incredibly smart, affectionate, and will attach to his person or people. His bond is very strong. He is not a big fan of kids. Romeo is easy to groom, is playful, and loves a good belly rub! He will benefit from exercise, and people who understand his breed.
