Story
There are puppies that are cute... and then there are puppies that somehow manage to make every single day a little more fun just by being themselves. That's Liza Minnelli. She's the kind of puppy who's always ready to grab a toy, start a game, make you laugh with her goofy antics, and then melt into you for a few cuddles once she's all tuckered out. She has one of those wonderfully happy personalities that's hard to put into words, but incredibly easy to fall in love with. Watch her video and prepare to fall in love with this sweet little lady: https://youtu.be/0ndFxBm7my0?si=nt08sJ8FKrDHB0nY Liza is believed to be approximately 5 months old and currently weighs about 30 pounds. As with any rescue puppy, her exact breed is always a mystery, but our best guess is she's a Black Mouth Cur and Pittie mix. Whatever combination created her also gave her a beautiful face, a playful spirit, and a personality that's every bit as lovable as it is fun. One of our favorite things about Liza is just how much joy she seems to find in everything. Hand her a toy? Best day ever. Toss it across the room? Even better. She absolutely loves playing, happily entertains herself with toys, and has the kind of cheerful, easygoing disposition that makes her a pleasure to be around. She's the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweet affection, always happy to join in on the fun but just as happy soaking up a little love from her people. Like every puppy her age, Liza is still learning all about the world around her. Right now, her days are filled with playtime, naps, mealtime, and discovering something new every day. Each new experience helps build her confidence while she learns what it means to be part of a family. Watching puppies grow through this stage is one of the most rewarding parts of adoption, and Liza is ready for someone to help guide her through it. Bringing home a puppy is a commitment, but it's also an incredibly rewarding adventure. Liza will need a family that's ready to continue teaching her all the important things puppies need to learn, including potty training, crate training, leash walking, basic manners, and positive socialization. Patience, consistency, and plenty of positive reinforcement will go a long way in helping her grow into the amazing adult dog we know she can become. If you're ready for the laughs, the puppy zoomies, the toy explosions across your living room, and the incredibly special bond that comes from raising a puppy, Liza just might be your perfect match. She's ready to find the family who will love her through every stage of growing up, and we have a feeling she's going to make them smile every single day. We are willing to test Liza Minnelli with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Nina – professionally known as Miss Buttered Roll. Nina is estimated to be around 2 years old, and honestly, we're not convinced she's a real dog. She might actually be a stuffed animal that somehow came to life. With her squishy little body, floppy ears, soulful eyes, and the most adorable collection of puppy rolls you've ever seen, Nina is the kind of dog that makes complete strangers stop and say, "Oh my gosh, LOOK at her!" We aren't exactly sure what breeds make up this precious girl. Maybe there's some hound or maybe even a little Beagle mixed in there somewhere. Whatever the recipe was, it turned out absolutely perfect. We’d like to think of her as a loving hound mix! Watch Nina's video here, then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/iAkCztwa3lY?si=UUdR7D_u09EKv68e Nina's foster family is completely obsessed with her, and it's easy to see why. Her foster dad says that all Nina wants in life is to love people and be loved right back. That's it. That's her dream. She doesn't need fame, fortune, or world domination. Just a comfy place to nap and humans to adore. And adore them she does. Nina is what we like to call a "respectful Velcro dog." She wants to be near her people because you're her favorite thing in the entire world, but she also has lovely manners. She'll follow you from room to room, check in to make sure you're okay, and then politely settle nearby while you cook dinner, work on your laptop, or binge-watch your latest TV obsession. Physically, Nina is pure perfection. Her caramel-colored coat is accented by adorable white markings, and her little body is delightfully squishy in all the right places. She has the kind of extra skin and jiggly rolls that make you want to gently squish her cheeks and tell her she's beautiful approximately 47 times a day. When she gets excited, her whole body seems to wiggle independently, creating what can only be described as a full-body happiness ripple. Nina currently lives with multiple other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. She's playful, social, and likes to join in on the fun. That said, she's also a bit of a self-appointed playground supervisor. If the doggy shenanigans start getting a little too wild, Nina may step in and let everyone know she's keeping an eye on things. Because of this, she tends to do best with thoughtful introductions and dogs who appreciate her leadership style. A calmer dog companion could be a wonderful match, though she'd also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as an only dog. On leash, Nina can get very excited when she sees other dogs and may bark or pull because she wants to investigate. Once proper introductions happen, she's much more relaxed. Because of this, we'd prefer a home environment over apartment living where she'd regularly encounter unfamiliar dogs in tight spaces. As for cats, Nina's cat test was inconclusive. She showed curiosity and interest but remained polite and chose to walk away on her own. We'd be happy to arrange additional cat testing for families with feline friends. Nina hasn't been formally kid tested yet, but based on her incredibly affectionate, gentle, people-loving personality, we think she has the potential to be a wonderful family dog. We're happy to complete kid testing for interested adopters to help ensure the best match. The truth is, Nina is one of those dogs that just makes life better. She's funny without trying, sweet without effort, and loving without limits. She's the dog who will greet you like you've been gone for years when you were only outside taking out the trash. The dog who will happily curl up next to you after a long day and remind you that everything is going to be okay. If you've been searching for a best friend with a heart of gold, a face that belongs on a greeting card, and enough squishiness to heal your soul, Nina is waiting to meet you. Apply today and adopt the world's cutest little butter roll. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a15fa637edb59c3c00888ef Questions? Story
If you're the kind of person who loves a puppy that's just as happy chasing a toy as he is curling up for a nap beside you afterward, you need to meet Elvis Presley. He's got that perfect puppy combination of playful, sweet, and easygoing that makes life together feel like so much fun. He'll happily join in on all the excitement, but unlike some of his siblings, Elvis is usually the first one to decide he's played enough, find a comfy spot, and recharge for his next adventure. Honestly, we think he's mastered the art of work-life balance better than most people. Watch his video and prepare to fall in love with this handsome little guy: https://youtu.be/0ndFxBm7my0?si=nt08sJ8FKrDHB0nY Elvis is believed to be approximately 5 months old and currently weighs about 31 pounds. As with any rescue puppy, his exact breed is always a mystery, but our best guess is he's a Black Mouth Cur and Pittie mix. Whatever combination created him also gave him a wonderful disposition, a playful spirit, and the sweetest personality. One of our favorite things about Elvis is how naturally balanced he is. He absolutely loves toys and is always ready for a game, whether that's tossing them around the yard, carrying one proudly through the house, or inviting his siblings to join in the fun. But once he's gotten all those puppy wiggles out, he's perfectly content finding a cozy place to stretch out for a nap. While the other puppies might still be zooming around, Elvis is often already snoozing away, completely happy to recharge before the next round of playtime. Like every puppy his age, Elvis is learning something new every single day. Right now his world revolves around playtime, mealtime, naps, and discovering all the exciting things that come with growing up. Every experience helps build his confidence, and he's ready for a family who will continue introducing him to the world with plenty of patience, encouragement, and love. Bringing home a puppy is a big commitment, but it's also one of life's greatest adventures. Elvis will need a family that's ready to continue teaching him all the important puppy skills like potty training, crate training, leash walking, basic manners, and positive socialization. Consistency, routine, and lots of positive reinforcement will help him grow into the wonderful adult dog we already know he's capable of becoming. If you're looking for a puppy who's playful without feeling nonstop, sweet without being shy, and has the kind of easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around, Elvis might just be your perfect match. He's ready to find the family who will cheer him on through every stage of puppyhood, and we have a feeling he's going to reward them with a lifetime of love, laughs, and plenty of happy memories. We are willing to test Elvis Presley with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Story
Adele Belle Pretty as a Princess can be right in the middle of playing, exploring, and having the best puppy day imaginable, and still make time to come back and check in with her people. That little habit says a lot about her. She’s a confident, social puppy who loves having fun, but she also wants to know where her people are and sneak in a little affection before heading back to the action. https://youtu.be/WEjJeAPPr-Y Adele Belle Pretty as a Princess is approximately 6 months old and believed to be a Black Mouth Cur and Pittie mix. She has all the curiosity and energy you’d expect from a puppy her age and isn’t afraid to get involved. She wants to explore, play, meet dog friends, and find out what everyone else is doing. Adele Belles Pretty as a Princess gets along with dogs of different ages and sizes and enjoys being part of the group. She’s still a puppy, though, and sometimes forgets that not every dog is built for her style of play. Smaller dogs may not be the best match simply because Adele Belles Pretty as a Princess hasn’t quite figured out her own size yet. Cats are still a question mark. Adele Belle Pretty as a Princess is curious about them, but she hasn’t decided exactly what she thinks of them yet, so we wouldn’t want to make promises about a cat household until we know more. What really stands out about Adele Belle Pretty as a Princess is the balance between her confidence and her connection to people. She can happily head off to play and investigate something new, then circle back for pets and a little reassurance before she’s off again. She loves affection, but she doesn’t need to spend every second sitting still to enjoy being close to you. Adele Belle Pretty as a Princess has the social personality, confidence, curiosity, and playful spirit to make a wonderful family companion. She’s still growing and learning, and part of the fun will be watching all that puppy personality turn into the dog she’s going to become. If you think Adele Belle Pretty as a Princess is amazing you should check out her profile and adopt! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a56c6adb0da4764a00dd5af Questions? Story
Elton John Chunk of Love has never met a moment he couldn’t turn into playtime. At 6 months old, this confident little guy is silly, social, and always looking for his next opportunity to have some fun. If another dog is nearby, there’s a pretty good chance Elton John Chunk of Love is already trying to convince them that whatever they were doing can wait because it’s time to play. Watch Elton John Chunk of Love in action: Elton John Chunk of Love is believed to be a Black Mouth Cur and Pittie mix, and he’s growing into one smart, confident puppy. He loves interacting with people, enjoys pets and treats, and has a loyal side that makes him want to be part of what his people are doing. Playing with other dogs is definitely high on Elton John Chunk of Love’s list of favorite things. He loves inviting other dogs to join in and has that wonderfully silly puppy enthusiasm that can make just about anything entertaining. He’s still figuring out how big he is, though, and sometimes his enthusiasm gets the better of him. Because of that, his play style may be too rough for smaller dogs or cats. There’s also a lot of potential behind all that puppy silliness. Elton John Chunk of Love is smart, confident, treat motivated, and eager to engage. He’s at a great age to keep learning and building on those qualities as he grows. He still has plenty of puppy energy and puppy lessons ahead of him, but he already has so many of the pieces that can make a really great dog. Elton John Chunk of Love would be a fun match for someone who enjoys an outgoing puppy and is ready to keep helping him learn as he grows. He’ll bring the games, the goofy moments, and plenty of personality. You just have to be ready when he decides it’s playtime again. If you think Elton John Chunk of Love is amazing you should check out his profile and adopt! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Valor Waterbug has inherited the family philosophy that water is meant for splashing, belly rubs should never end on schedule, and life gets considerably better once the zoomies take over! Valor is a playful, water-loving boy with a wonderfully gentle heart. He is a little shy when the world feels new, but underneath that initial hesitation is a happy, affectionate dog who is learning more every day that people, home life, and a good backyard splash session are pretty wonderful. Take a look for yourself: https://youtu.be/7zFnwEv38sU Valor is currently being fostered in a loving home and has settled into family life. His foster says that bringing Valor into their household was remarkably easy. He fit in with their dogs so naturally that it felt like he had always been there. He is an excellent companion for other dogs, happily joining the group while still being perfectly capable of entertaining himself with a favorite toy when everyone else is doing their own thing. And then there is the water. Give Valor a chance to splash and that slightly shy boy disappears and the zoomies arrive in full force. He loves playing in water, running around with that loose, happy energy, and showing off the silly side of his personality. Interestingly, a really good belly rub can produce almost the same reaction. Valor absolutely melts for affection, and once you find the right spot, don't be surprised if the celebration continues long after the belly rub is over. His foster home includes a teenage daughter who regularly has friends over, and Valor has become a favorite with the whole group. He isn't the dog who immediately rushes to greet every new person who walks through the door. Valor likes to take a moment, watch what's happening, and decide when he feels comfortable. He remains polite and gentle while he figures things out, and eventually he makes his way over to say hello on his own terms. His foster family has loved watching that confidence continue to grow. Valor is still figuring out some pieces of this big world, and the right family will understand that confidence doesn't need to be rushed. Having friendly, confident dogs around has been wonderful for him, giving him companions to play with and examples to follow. He would make an especially lovely +1 for a family whose current dog could use a sweet, playful friend. What makes Valor so easy to root for is that his shyness is only one small piece of who he is. He is affectionate, playful, wonderfully dog friendly, happy to entertain himself, and increasingly comfortable letting his goofy personality take center stage. His foster family says he has been an absolute pleasure to have in their home, and the way he settled so naturally into their everyday life says a lot about the companion he can become. Give Valor a little patience, a friendly dog or two, plenty of belly rubs, and access to a respectable splash zone, and watch this very sweet boy discover just how much fun this life can be together.
