*******AVAILABLE NOW******* Hi Everyone, My name is Annie and I’m a 2 year old Bloodhound baby girl who is looking for my forever Family. Investing your time and love into me will be so worth it!! I am an absolute sweetheart. I was rescued near death when I was brought in with what was believed to be gunshot wounds to two of my legs. The doctors thought that I was sure to lose at least one if not both of my legs. I was severely emaciated, Entropion eyes and very little life left in me. Most people would have given up on me as I had almost given up on myself but I was one of the lucky ones. My rescue said that they were hopeful that their trusted Orthopedic surgeon would be able to help me. Boy was I blessed!! Dr. Bo saved my legs after several surgeries and I’m walking like a champ. You would never know what I was like originally. I’m so happy and thankful for my second chance. I have received all of the medical care needed and I have recovered beautifully. I have high hopes in finding my forever loving family. I am a sweet, loving and smart lil girl who just wants a loving family who will take care of me. I am good with children and other animals. Hi, I`m Velma! I’m a 7.5-year-old Bloodhound with a beautiful tan coat, ears that go on for days, and an affectionate, social personality. If I could snuggle all day, then that is probably what I would do! My second favorite thing to do is to go on a nice long walk where I can explore all the interesting smells in the neighborhood. I`ve done basic obedience and am very treat-motivated! I love people of all ages, but I`m a larger girl so I might knock over tiny tots if I`m not managed properly! I am dog-selective at first, but if a dog is calm and easy-going, I am happy to be their friend. I don`t play with other dogs for very long, but I love parallel snooping, walking, and napping. I`m not great at sharing with other dogs though, so I would do best as an only pet with dog friends outside of the home. I will make a magnificent, loyal companion for the lucky person who brings me home. My sweet and happy personality is unmatched. Get ready to meet your new best friend—Jager is here to steal your heart and make a splash in your life! He is a 60 lb mix with lots of love to give. We recently had a DNA test done on him and wow is he a mix of a lot of breeds. Lots of good traits in this boy! At 4 years old, this handsome pup has proven to be a loyal companion in his foster home. He’d love to find his forever home where he can show you what a great dog he really is! Though he can still be a little shy when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and thrives when he feels safe and connected. He’s happiest just being near his people — whether that’s helping with yard work, keeping an eye for the intruder squirrels, or cuddling on the couch. Jager is housebroken, great on a leash, and gets along well with other dogs with introduction. Jager is a "ladies dog" he will go straight for the cuddles when he hears a beautiful female voice. But really does love all people once he gets to know you. He will lean into you for cuddles and affection. He does great with other dogs, playing in the yard and enjoys zooming around the outdoor area. A sweet, active, and social boy ready for a second chance! Jager would do best in a home with older children and would love a fenced in yard in his forever home. He absolutely loves the freedom of hanging outside while his family is does yard work or is relaxing. Jager is available to adopt in the Chicagoland area and is being fostered in a home. Appointments to visit him will be set up for approved adopters only. Adoption fee is $200.00 which includes all appropriate vaccines, and he is neutered and microchipped.
