Story
Red is a beautiful 4 year old male who loves to run, loves to sniff everything, and loves people. We found him running loose about 2 years ago with no collar, no chip and no way to locate an owner. When we found him, he was very undernourished; his ribs were showing. We think he must have been on the run for some time. The problem is that his time on the run has left him with food insecurity which has led him to some food aggression. Most often this happens if he tries to steal food and you try to stop him. For some time, we have adapted well by separating him from the temptations when food is being prepared/served. But the problem is that we have a new grandchild, and we feel like it's too much of a risk. Red would be a fantastic pet for an experienced dog owner who is able to manage his issues with food. Apart from the food issues, he is loving, fun and affectionate. As much as it breaks our hearts, we hope someone can give him a good home .
