Story
My given name from my foster mom is exactly who I am. Asta... this name means "divine strength", "love", and "star-like". I was abandoned by my first family on the side of the highway for a few months with my sister Kinsley. She was my protector during that time. I was terribly traumatized by being abandoned. Today I'm a shining star with beautiful grey eyes that match my coat. I like to play and go on backyard adventures with my sister and dog foster family. I like everyone and get along with other dogs and I'm a bit submissive and respectful towards everyone. I have beautiful pleading grey eyes that draw attention and make most ppl say awwwww and have a low key nature about me. We love each other very much and want to stay together for life! Please find it in your heart to adopt us together! We promise years of love and fun :) Local adoption fee together is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee together is $600 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Meet Dobby, a friendly ~1-2 year old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog/Basenji mix! This girl is the perfect size and full grown at about 40 lbs. She has the BEST giant ears, which is how she earned her name!  Dobby is a very sweet, outgoing girl who LOVES other dogs, people, and kids! Due to her exuberant nature, we recommend older kids 8+ as she may unintentionally knock over a small child. She attended doggy daycare while being fostered in TN, and she got along well with all of the dogs there. Since she has been in New England, she was fostered with two 120 lb Great Pyrs who she also got along very well with! Currently, she is being fostered in CT at another doggy daycare and is having a blast! She loves to play with her doggo friends and would be thrilled to have another young, playful pup to share her home with. Dobby does ok with dog savvy cats (will initially bark at them and will chase if they run, but she responds well to being told NO and she learned to respect the cat in her prior foster home).  She is an energetic girl who loves to play with other dogs, she also loves toys and a good game of tug! She would LOVE a fenced in yard of her own to get out her zoomies. Dobby would make an excellent hiking and/or running buddy, she would love to join you on all of your adventures and then nap on the couch with you afterwards (she loves to snuggle!). She also walks very well on leash and is not a big puller (unless she sees a squirrel or other critter). She is a super smart and trainable pup!  From Dobby's current foster:  "Dobby is definitely a high energy girl which has proved a perfect match for my high energy pups who don’t get enough play. Dobby gets along with everyone, sleeps like a rock through the night and loves a bone to keep her busy when it’s quiet time. Dobby is learning that excitement is always a good thing but jumping on someone is not always cool when you’re not prepared. Dobby is super smart and would love a job so if you have a dog who would love a play companion or if agility is your thing, Dobby is for you!" Dobby is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. Apply to meet this special girl today! She is SO deserving of a furever home of her own! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2455233##

Story
Meet Bambi, the SUPER sweet mama of the Bambi litter pups (Faline, Owl, Thumper, Mr. Mole, Flower, Aunt Ena, and Mrs. Possum)! Bambi and her newborn pups were found in a field in east TN while farmers were mowing. This little family was taken into rescue and placed in a loving foster home. They are now in CT and puppies are ready to start going to their furever homes. Bambi is ready to retire from her mama duties and find a furever home of her own as well! Bambi is a young mama, approximately 1-2 years old. She weighs about 40 lbs, we think she is an Australian Cattle Dog/shepherd mix. She is extremely sweet and loving and has been an amazing and attentive mom! She is a friendly, easy going girl who gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids (not cat tested). She is medically up to date (awaiting her spay appointment now that her milk is mostly dried up), housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special girl today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable.
