Story
Meet Trevor! Trevor is a big, fun-loving guy bursting with energy and personality! He’s playful, goofy, and always up for an adventure—especially if there are treats involved. This sweet boy is incredibly food-motivated and eager to please, which makes him a quick learner and an absolute joy to train. He’s already working on his manners and picking things up fast! Trevor loves energetic playmates who can match his enthusiasm and respond wonderfully to structure, positive feedback, and of course, plenty of treats. With consistent guidance and continued training, he’s sure to blossom into an even more well-mannered pup. Underneath all that goofiness, Trevor has a sweet, loving side that shines through once you get to know him. He’d thrive with an active, experienced adopter ready to keep him learning, laughing, and living life to the fullest. Trevor's adoption fee has been sponsored! Take him home for free today. Trevor is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. You can visit him at the CASPCA every day between the hours of 12-6 PM. For more information, email us at adoptions@caspca.org.

Story
Meet Romie 💙 **Romie's adoption fee has been sponsored, take him home for no fee today!** Romie is a sweet, gentle boy with a heart as soft as his eyes. He’s the kind of dog who naturally wants to be right by your side—literally. On walks, Romie stays close and happily heels when asked, like a perfect gentleman. Romie is smart and eager to please. He already knows sit, stay, lay down, spin, and paw, and if you ask him “do you want it?” he’ll give you an adorable bark in response. He’s very treat-motivated, especially when peanut butter treats are involved, which makes training fun and rewarding. Playtime is another one of Romie’s joys—he absolutely loves a good game with a tennis ball. When it’s time to head out, he’ll calmly come right up and sit politely, waiting for his leash to be put on. Romie is also a total love bug. He enjoys coming up to his people and leaning into them for affection, happily soaking up butt scratches and gentle pets. While he can be a little nervous in new surroundings, he is not reactive to noises or the environment and settles in with reassurance. If you’re looking for a well-mannered, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to walk beside you and share your love, Romie might just be your perfect match. 🐾

Story
In 2022, we adopted a three-month-old puppy from the SPCA in Virginia. Initially shy and anxious, Albus was listed as a Labrador, but a DNA test revealed he was a mix: 53% Australian Cattle dog, 19% Australian Shepherd, 17% Rottweiler, and 10% American Bulldog. Albus (now almost 3.5 years old) is a sweet, fun, and challenging dog. He is challenging due to his reactivity around strangers, which has improved greatly over the last year. We love Albus, and wish we did not have to rehome him - but we would also like to start a family. Having a baby, and managing a challenging dog is more than we feel we can handle. We are not in a huge rush, and want to find an ideal match. Albus would be a perfect companion in a home with space to run and play fetch, with no young children, and an experienced dog owner who can continue to train him. Because he can be reactive to strangers, a home without many new people coming by would be ideal. We are now in Potomac, Maryland - not Charlottesville!
