Story
Meet Isabelle, the quiet girl who needs time to feel safe. Isabelle is a 8-year-old sweetheart with a tender heart and a cautious nature. She has not had much adoption interest, and we think it may be because she is not the kind of dog who shows her full personality right away. Isabelle needs someone who understands shy dogs and is willing to give her the time and space to build trust. Isabelle has some stranger-danger tendencies and can be fearful of new people. She is not a dog who wants strangers to rush up, reach for her, or expect instant affection. She needs slow introductions, patience, and people who will let her become familiar at her own pace. Once Isabelle feels safe, her sweet and affectionate side begins to shine. She wants to be loved — she just needs to believe she is safe first. Isabelle does best in a calm, peaceful environment. Loud noises can make her nervous, and busy, high-energy homes may be overwhelming for her. She would be happiest with adults or calm older teens who can offer consistency, kindness, and a quiet routine. She enjoys the simple comforts: tasty treats, a soft place to rest, and a comfortable dog bed for long naps. Treats are a great way to help her build confidence and positive associations. Isabelle gets along well with calm, easygoing cats and dogs. High-energy or overly enthusiastic dogs can make her nervous, especially if they get too close too quickly. A calm dog companion may help her feel more secure, but she would also do well in a peaceful home where her needs are respected. Isabelle is not looking for chaos or constant activity. She is looking for a soft place to land, patient people to trust, and a home where she can finally relax. Isabelle at a glance: * 8 years old * Sweet, tender-hearted, and cautious * Fearful of strangers / stranger-danger tendencies * Needs slow introductions and time to build trust * Best in a calm, quiet home * Not a fan of loud noises * Loves treats * Loves a comfortable dog bed for naps * Good with calm, easygoing dogs and cats * May do well with a calm dog companion * Needs patient adopters who understand shy or fearful dogs To view additional photos of Isabelle, please visit https://www.pawsumes.com/photos/28057/isabelle To adopt, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.threepawsrescue.org/adoption-application/ For information about adoption fee, please visit https://www.threepawsrescue.org/adoption-fees/ To learn about the adoption process, please visit https://www.threepawsrescue.org/adoption-process/ ** Please note that the breeds listed are our best guesses based on physical appearance and behavioral traits. Story
River is a sweet, loving senior girl with lots of energy and an even bigger heart. She’s a large white-and-brown dog who loves cuddles, affection, and being close to her people.River was adopted from a shelter, and we’ve worked with her through in-home training to help her feel more comfortable around other dogs. She has made progress and calmed down with age, but she remains anxious around other animals and cannot safely live with another pet. She does well walking alongside our other dog, but isn’t comfortable sharing a home.River needs a loving, patient home where she can be the only pet. A large, secure backyard would be ideal so she has room to run and play. Most of all, she needs someone who will give her the time, attention, patience, and love she deserves in her senior years.River has so much love to give and would thrive in a peaceful, loving forever home. ❤️

Story
Koda is a 6-year-old, 48-lb Catahoula mix with a sweet soul and an energetic spirit. He’s a fun-loving guy who lives for playtime, especially tug-of-war with his favorite humans and a good game of fetch. He also enjoys racing around the yard with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to keep him company (he’s more of a chase-and-run kind of player than a wrestler so far). Koda is affectionate and bonds closely with his people, which means he doesn’t love being left alone for long periods. He’ll thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not, and ideally with another dog to help keep him feeling secure. He can be a little anxious at first, but once he settles in and feels safe, his loving personality really shines. This agile, athletic boy enjoys going on walks, is very food-motivated (treats are the way to his heart!), and already knows sit and listens pretty well. With his intelligence and eagerness, he’d do great continuing to build on his training. Important note: Koda requires a securely fenced yard taller than 4 feet -- he needs a safe space to run, play, and burn off his energy. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and sweet companion who will keep you active and love you wholeheartedly, Koda might just be your perfect match. To adopt him, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org His adoption fee is $250, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, and heartworm testing.

Story
Meet Lovely Maggie – The Stunning Blue Leopard Catahoula Mix! Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear fur and chase squirrels. BIG COUCH POTATO Maggie is a sweetheart couch potato, bed hopper, breathtaking 4-year-old blue leopard Catahoula mix with one solid blue eye and a striking blue chip in the other. This smart, affectionate, and loyal girl is the perfect companion for someone who loves the unique personality of the Catahoula breed.  Maggie’s Journey Maggie’s history is mostly unknown. She was rescued from animal control in North Georgia and given a second chance at life. Why You’ll Love Maggie Loyal & Affectionate: Maggie thrives on being close to her human. She loves snuggling, lounging on the couch, or napping nearby, making her the perfect cuddle buddy. Low-Key Couch Potato with a Fun Side: While Maggie is mostly laid-back, she also enjoys walks, hikes, and car rides—anything that allows her to spend quality time with her person. Meal Time Enthusiast: Maggie’s favorite part of the day is mealtime! Her excitement is unmatched, and she’ll eagerly await her food with adorable enthusiasm. Crate-Trained & Well-Behaved: Maggie is perfectly crate-trained and will happily run into her crate for a treat. Maggie’s Ideal Home Dog Dynamics: Maggie gets along wonderfully with male dogs but has had conflicts with dominant females. She might do well with a submissive female, but she would thrive as the only dog in the household, where she can soak up all the love and attention. No Cats: Due to her high prey drive, a cat-free home is essential. A Loving Human: Maggie craves attention and affection, making her ideal for someone who enjoys having a constant, loving companion. Health & Quick Facts Age: 4 years old Weight: 55 pounds (a perfect medium size) Health: Spayed Microchipped Heartworm-negative Up-to-date on all vaccinations Temperament: Sweet, affectionate, and eager to please How to Adopt Maggie If you’re looking for a smart, loyal, and loving companion, Maggie is the dog for you!
