Story
Hank is a 2-year-old Bluetick Coonhound with a big personality and an even bigger love for life. He’s super social and happy to make friends with just about anyone he meets. Hank definitely won’t say no to a treat — and yes, you can tell — because food is one of his favorite things. True to his hound roots, Hank loves to “talk” and share his thoughts in that classic hound way, adding plenty of charm and laughs to your day. He’s playful, goofy, and a joy to be around, and he also walks well on leash, making outings together easy and fun. Hank is the kind of dog who brings energy, personality, and a whole lot of love wherever he goes. 🐾

Story
Jack Ryan is a big handsome Bluetick Coonhound with a true hound heart and plenty of personality. This guy knows how to relax indoors but lights up when there's something interesting to see, chase, smell, or do. Jack would love a home that understands hounds and can give him room to run, explore, and put that nose to work. He's housebroken, trustworthy at home, and happiest with structure, activity, and a little purpose in his day. He loves to chase cars, so he needs someone with a fenced yard for his safety and patience to train that impulse out of him. If you're looking for classic hound charm with just the right amount of spark, Jack Ryan might be your guy. He is being fostered in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, about 2 hours outside St. Louis.

Story
Meet Doc 🐶💙 Doc is an approximately 4 year old coonhound mix with a huge heart and an even bigger love for attention. He is a lovable, affectionate boy who truly enjoys being close to his people and will happily nose his way in if you are petting another dog. Doc is crate trained and continuing to work on house training. He knows how to use a doggie door and is making great progress. He had some marking behaviors early on, which have improved significantly with structure and routine. He is very dog friendly and loves to play with other dogs. Doc has not been tested with cats and has only lived with adult children, but his sweet and gentle nature suggests he would likely do well with respectful kids. He appears to have lived mostly outdoors or in a one story home before rescue, but he has now discovered the couch and loves settling in right next to his person. He recently conquered the staircase and continues to gain confidence every day. Doc is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. Adoption Fee $200 local in Texas $450 out of state with transport included 🚐

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Shuggie is an 8-year old Catahoula/Blue Heeler cross, who has lived with his current family since he was a puppy; now, however, his owners are relocating in another country in order to care for an elderly relative, and they prefer to find Shuggie a new home rather than move him around the world. Shuggie is a sweet dog and although he has interacted well with children in the past, he has not lived with children and he would do best in an adult home.  He also is too interested in cats and should not be asked to live with them.  He has lived with other dogs and interacted well with them. Shuggie has a bite history, which his owners say resulted from a utility worker's reaching a hand over the fence into Shuggie's yard, which took the dog by surprise.  However, there is far more to Shuggie than that one incident, and his owners say this about him: Shuggie is a high-energy, intelligent, and deeply loyal companion who's looking for his perfect match. This food-motivated pup loves nothing more than an active adventure whether it's hiking trails, long walks, or chasing after his favorite tennis balls! While Shuggie is incredibly loving, he takes time to warm up to new people and requires a patient approach to building trust. He's made tremendous progress through extensive training and responds well to positive reinforcement and structured introductions. To learn more about Shuggie or to arrange to meet him, please contact his owners at  laura.e.cleary@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 24, 2025, 7:08 pm
