Gomez is still waiting for his forever home! Is it because he’s too cute to handle? Are his expressive eyebrows and curled lip too judgy? Gomez is a sensitive, sweet-hearted pup who just needs a little time, patience, and a steady routine to truly shine. Once he feels safe, he blossoms into a silly, affectionate boy with plenty of personality. Gomez is 9 months old, weighs just over 31 pounds, and is expected to stay a medium-sized dog (under 59 pounds). While we can’t promise his exact breed, we do suspect some bluetick coonhound. Those gorgeous markings, floppy ears, and signature howl give him away! What we can promise is a perfect mix of fun, curiosity, and an irresistibly sweet face. When you come to meet Gomez, you may see him zooming around the yard with his favorite canine pals. He would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly dog to help show him the world isn’t such a scary place. It’s important to note that Gomez may be a bit reserved towards new humans during a meet-and-greet, but our staff and volunteers will happily tell you: once he opens up, he’s a goofy, playful puppy who loves to let loose when he's ready. To help set everyone up for success, our trainer Jim Kats offers an optional transitional lesson with every adoption, ensuring you and Gomez start your journey together on the right paw.
