Wilma is a one of a kind dog. She loves all the attention! She is a really good dog besides her love for surfing… counter surfing. She is truly a hound led by her nose but with a little training that could be fixed. I have two very young children and we recently relocated so we don’t have a fence. She needs a yard to roam and sniff. We are looking for a better, loving home for her where she can get the attention she deserves.

Hi, I'm Snoopi. I'll always be around to help you out! We are one houndin' mix of pup! Our mama was a full Bluetick Coonhound and our dad was a Basset Hound. We are 8 weks old and full of life. We will be ready to go to our forever homes on 4/20, but I can be pre-adopted in the meantime.  If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. No need to call to find out about me, you can ask questions on the application or email questions to info@polkcountyhumanesociety.org. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Meet Daisy Bay! She is a 4 year old 100% blue tick coonhound. She weighs 120 lbs. She is a sweet girl and loves to play! Although she is not aware of her size and can that can be dangerous for young children and smaller individuals. She is up to date on all shots and vaccines. She loves snacks and treats. She has never been much of a house dog and has always been kept outside but when she is inside there has never been a problem! She does have a large voice that she loves to use. But she deserves so much more than we can give at this point in time
