Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Scout – Your Loyal Packmate! Breed: Blue Tick Coonhound / Great Pyrenees Mix Age: 1 year old Scout is a gentle, laid-back soul with a playful streak and a heart full of loyalty. He’s excellent with other dogs, cats, chickens, and people of all ages. A true pack animal, Scout thrives in the company of other dogs and  must  be placed in a home with at least one canine companion. Separation from his pack makes him anxious, so he’s looking for a family that understands his need for togetherness. Personality & Skills: Calm, affectionate, and easygoing Loves to track and chase deer—his hound instincts shine! Curious and clever (yes, he’s an escape artist!) Walks well on leash with a gentle trot, though he can be a little fussy about it Dislikes car rides but is working on it Special Notes: Scheduled to be neutered this month (we hope this helps with his wanderlust!) Currently underweight due to being picky about food, but he’s on a weight-gain journey and doing great Must live in a country setting with plenty of space to roam Best suited for an experienced hound owner who understands his instincts and energy If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will bring joy and adventure to your life, Scout might be your perfect match!   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Mack Mack is a 2-year-old Bluetick Coonhound looking for his forever home. Despite not having the most stable start to life and being bounced around between a couple of homes, Mack hasn’t let it dim his spirit. He’s a sweet, affectionate boy just waiting for the right person to give him the love and stability he deserves. Mack is great with other dogs and is currently living with 3 other coonhounds in his foster home. He does need a home without children, and he would do best with someone who understands hounds and is willing to give him patience, consistency, and time to settle in. This handsome guy LOVES going for walks and will absolutely let you know when he spots deer or other critters He’s proud of his beautiful hound voice, so a house would likely be a better fit for him than an apartment. Mack is crate trained and likes sleeping in his crate with his blanket. He’s also a big fan of attention — he’ll lean right into you for pets or flop over for belly rubs whenever he gets the chance. Mack may have a few quirks that make him a little harder to place, but underneath it all he’s a loving, loyal dog who simply needs his special person. If you’re hound-savvy and looking for a companion with lots of personality and love to give, Mack could be your perfect match ❤️  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All animal breeds and ages are a best estimate August 22, 2026, 11:04 am

Story
Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

He is a smart, driven young dog who enjoys learning and thrives with clear structure and leadership. Auggie is dog friendly and loves his people. Due to unforeseen changes in his family's living situation, they have made the difficult decision to find Auggie a home that can better meet his needs long-term. Meet Bentley!Bentley is a 6 year old, Neutered Male, Muppet/ Irish Wolfhound/ 100% good boy mix.He is so incredibly sweet, loves his humans, and loves every human he meets.
