Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.  Humphrey is no longer available for adoption, because of his declining health, SCMR feels it is in his best interest to keep him in his loving foster home for the time he has left.  A home that is familiar and where he enjoys his foster siblings.       If anyone would like to help sponsor his medical bills (treating his poly-arthritis), please feel free to send a donation, and be sure to let us know the donation is for him.  We will place your name on his website as a sponsor angel, if you would like.     Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. Story
I adopted Tuva around 2015 back in Los Angeles. She had just came to the shelter (Riverside) and was very timid. They estimated her to be 2 years old at that time. They found her as a stray. With that said, she is about 10 years old by now. I think she was younger when I got her, considering how her appearance was back then compared to now. She is the most loving dog, she has so much love to give. If you are her person, she will be by your side 24/7. But she has very bad separation anxiety and I think it is because she was abandoned before. Her separation anxiety is the biggest problem for me since I am now busy at least 8 hours a day, and it just doesn't work anymore. It's not fair to her. It takes a while for her to adjust to a new person (if I am not around), but she will eventually. I am looking for someone who spends a lot of time at home. Either working from home, or someone who is retired. OR someone who can bring her to work. She'd love that.
