Story
Please read Wilford s entire bio before applying.   Wilford is a 1 year old little boy that is believed to be an Australian labradoodle. He just knows he is a good boy! Full grown he should weigh about 40 pounds.   Wilford was confiscated by animal control very skinny and matted. He had to have his tail and back legs shaved due to matting. He will see a groomer before adoption.  Knowledge of the grooming and care of the breed is very important.   He has been thriving in his foster home, learning there will always be food, water and love available.  He is learning about boundaries from his foster sister, but is still learning boundaries with other dogs. He takes correction very well from the little old lady dog and loves to play with his 85 pound foster sister. Wilford would be ok with dogs of all sizes and probably be ok with kitties.   Wilford would love a companion dog to continue to show him how to be a good boy. He would also love family with some children to play with. He is a very active boy but is very lost without another dog in the home.   Wilford is still a puppy and is very "mouthy" he is still learning that human hands (and feet) are not chew toys. So his humans will need to remind him this is not ok.   Wilford knows, sit, stay, enough, leave it and lay down. He is completely crate trained and will need to be crated when gone. He will cry in his crate if there is no other dog or human in the room with him. He is mostly housetrained as long as he is kept on his schedule.   Since Wilford is a "designer breed" and had a very rough start, his foster mom will be very selective with his new home.   Good with dogs (really needs a playful doggie companion) Great with kids Leash trained Mostly house trained VERY NEEDY If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Manny is a 1 year old Mini doodle. This poor guy was rescued from a life of neglect. He was found abandoned in an alley with his kennel. The poor guy was as emaciated as grooming and full of feces all over him. He is dog and all people friendly. Mostly potty trained and a total sweetheart that has absolutely thrived with love. He will require regular grooming. Meet Yoder! Yoder is an 8-month-old male Poodle–Bichon mix with a whole lot of puppy packed into a little body. A breeder release, he’s all puppy energy and always on the lookout for his next adventure—or mischief! Yoder loves to play, zoom, and investigate everything around him. His favorite things include his toys, crunchy paper towel rolls (the best treasure!), and treats of any kind. He’s currently working on potty training and is eager to keep learning with a patient, loving family. Yoder is under veterinary care for a congenital eye condition. His left eye has a thickened cornea and he likely does not have vision in that eye, though he may see shadows. The good news? It doesn’t slow him down one bit! Yoder is a happy, playful little speedster who lives life to the fullest. Because of his enthusiasm for play and exploration, Yoder will need a securely fenced yard in his forever home where he can safely run and burn off puppy energy.
