[The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Gingerbread is cautious and requires time to build trust before revealing her softer side. Once trust was established, she craved attention but remained careful. She managed well with husbandry handling but struggled with sudden sounds and everyday objects, often seeking support.Gingerbread walked well on a leash, was attentive indoors, but showed little interest in food. She understood the cue `sit,` responded well to redirection, and had reasonable recall. While hesitant with toys and play, she didn`t avoid them.
