Bombay kittens & cats in Athens, Ohio

Mister Marmalade (MM) appeared on our deck in fall '25, and got along with another adult cat who stayed most of the year in a cat house on our deck. She died, the weather got cold, and we moved MM inside. He has been in our "guest suite" ever since. We put a cat gate between him and our 14-year-old cat, Seco, to try to get them used to each other, but Seco just growls and hisses. MM is at least 10 according to our vet. We got him neutered, shots, blood tests, and then took him back to the vet when he developed an abscess. Poor little guy (that's the cone pic). He has spots on his face and ears. The vet doesn't know what they are. He's on a kidney diet. He is a bit of a scaredy cat, loves being scratched on the head, and usually creeps into our TV room in the evenings. He makes adorable noises when you talk to him. I think he would thrive in a calm home with no hissing cats. *Adoption fee will go to ACHS, and adoption will come with a supply of wet and dry food, bed, and more.
