Story
Some stories begin with heartbreak, but Damita's is proof that love can change everything! At just 5 months old, this beautiful all-black kitten has already overcome more than most. Damita was found by a dedicated street feeder suffering from a severe case of ringworm. Thanks to her wonderful foster, our medical team here at the rescue that stepped in with proper medical care, patience, and lots of love, she's made an incredible recovery! Damita is now healthy, happy, and absolutely thriving in her foster home! Damita has a quiet, gentle spirit that makes her impossible not to fall in love with. She was understandably a little reserved during her content session after everything she'd been through, but her foster says that at home, she's a completely different kitten. Once she's comfortable, her playful personality shines. She's happiest chasing toy mice across the room, batting around jingling balls, and enjoying all the little adventures kittenhood has to offer. When playtime winds down, Damita transforms into the sweetest cuddle companion. She adores affection, happily soaking up pets, snuggles, and any opportunity to spend time with her favorite people. Beneath her soft black coat is an even softer heart that's just waiting for the right family to call her own. Damita has settled beautifully into her foster home's routine. She consistently uses the litter box, enjoys wet food in the morning and evening, has kibble available throughout the day, and has a healthy appetite. She gets along wonderfully with the large dog in the home and is comfortable around the resident cats as well. While there aren't young children in her foster home, she was calm and gentle when handled by a 12-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl during her content session, showing just how trusting she's becoming! Like any young kitten, Damita will continue to benefit from patience, consistency, and a loving home where she can keep building her confidence. Her journey is a beautiful reminder that with the right care and support, even the toughest beginnings can lead to the happiest endings. If you're looking for a kitten with a resilient spirit, a playful heart, and endless love to give, Damita is ready to write the next chapter of her story, with you! Story
Alfred is the definition of a happy little kitten. He is around 5 months old and is currently in that absolutely adorable stage where everything in life is exciting, fun, and worth pouncing on. He is tiny, goofy, playful, affectionate, and completely full of personality. The world is basically one giant playground to him, and he is determined to explore every inch of it with maximum enthusiasm. This sweet boy spends his days running around with endless kitten energy, batting toys across the floor, chasing his siblings, and doing dramatic little sneak attacks before bouncing away proudly like he accomplished something huge. Watching him play is genuinely hilarious because he throws his whole tiny body into everything he does. He has the cutest little zoomies and loves launching himself at toys twice his size with complete confidence. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/h9Ua1swgE2I?si=-KPw231HD246zM4q But underneath all that silliness is a very loving little kitten who absolutely adores people. Alfred is incredibly affectionate and enjoys being close to his humans. He loves pets, attention, and curling up beside you once he finally tires himself out from all his adventures. He has such a sweet face and gentle nature, and he gives off the kind of warmth that instantly makes you feel attached to him. He is also extremely curious and smart. He wants to know what you are doing at all times and will happily “help” with everything, whether that means climbing into your lap, investigating bags, chasing moving feet, or sitting right in the middle of whatever task you are trying to complete. He is the perfect mix of playful chaos and loving companion. Alfred would thrive in a home that understands kittens need lots of enrichment, playtime, patience, and love while they grow. He would love another playful cat friend or a family ready to spend lots of time interacting with him. He is still very young and discovering the world, and every day with him feels fun and full of life. He has the kind of personality that makes people fall in love fast. He is sweet without being shy, playful without being wild, and cuddly without ever losing that silly kitten charm. Alfred is truly the kind of kitten that turns a house into a happier place the second he walks into it. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! Good with cats,
Story
Meet Harrison! 🖤 SUMMARY * Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat * Harrison will take time and patience to fully open up. * Harrison gives "love nips" when excited so may not be the best choice for small children. * He would love to be adopted with his equally-large and quirky buddy Rob. * Adoption Fee (cat > 1.5 yrs) is $315 and includes all vetting and cost of transport (we are located in Houston) Harrison is a big, handsome Bombay mix with an even bigger personality! With his gorgeous yellow-green eyes, impressive jumping skills, and goofy antics, he’s impossible not to love. He may look like a serious gentleman at first glance, but spend a little time with him and you’ll quickly discover the playful, affectionate, slightly silly cat hiding underneath that handsome exterior. He is a total goofball! Harrison spent the first few years of his life living underneath a local bar alongside several other cats. When the bar closed, Harrison and his friends suddenly had no one to care for or feed them. Thankfully, they were rescued and brought into foster care, where they received the veterinary care and love they needed. He was a little shy at first, but after spending time getting comfortable with indoor life he is ready for a permanent family. He's come such a long and blossomed into an absolute sweetheart! Once Harrison trusts you, he loves a good cheek scratch or butt scratch, and he may even roll over asking for belly rubs. He can get a little carried away when he’s excited and may give an occasional love nip, so he’s still learning some manners when it comes to expressing his affection. This can be a little alarming but it's not an aggressive bite - however he may not be the best pick for a household with small children! Harrison does have a few quirks that we expect will continue to improve with time, patience, love, and the stability of a forever home. He isn’t a fan of being picked up, and he can become nervous when someone looms over him. He does best when given the opportunity to approach people on his own terms, or if he is approached when he’s on a perch (just a little higher up than the floor!) With a little patience and respect for his boundaries, Harrison is a wonderful companion and a perfect little gentleman. And despite his size, Harrison is still a kitten at heart when it comes to playtime! Wand toys are his absolute favorite, and his eyes light up when he sees one. He’s also a big fan of wet food and Churu treats and will happily come investigate whenever the “good stuff” makes an appearance. He isn’t an overly chatty guy, but when he’s getting especially good pets, he may reward you with a few adorable little chirps. Harrison is very close with his buddy Rob, a creamy-grey tabby boy who is equally large and quirky. If you have room in your home (and heart!) for both of these boys, we'd love to see them adopted together. Harrison’s journey has taken a little longer than some, and that’s okay. He may need several weeks (or even more) to feel comfortable in a new environment. He hasn’t had the easiest start in life, but he is a true ray of sunshine once he knows he’s safe. We know the right person will understand that earning Harrison’s trust is a process, and we promise he is worth every bit of patience. If you’re looking for a goofy, sweet, big-hearted boy who will reward your patience with affection, chirps, playtime, and lots of personality, Harrison may be your guy! 🖤 --- Harrison is approximately 2-3 years old, neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy.

The adoption application can be found here:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat

Harrison is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

 --- ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts!
