Akira is a highly intelligent dog who wants to work! She has a ton of energy and needs a human who can challenge her brain regularly while also giving her ample opportunities to exercise. In the shelter, Akira has not shown much positive interest in other dogs so we believe she would do best in a home as the only animal. Shelter staff would love to see her in agility activities (or similar) so she can utilize her intelligence and athletic abilities to her full potential. Calm, older children would be suitable, but caution is recommended for children under the age of 12 due to Akira's high energy. She is a great size at under 40 pounds.
