Story
Meet Patch! ❤️🤎🤍 Patch was rescued as a stray in late April 2026. While we don't know much about his past, we do know he's a handsome young pup who's ready to discover all that life has to offer. He's looking for a patient, loving home where he can continue to grow in confidence and let his personality shine. In his foster home, Patch is still adjusting to indoor life and can be unsure of new sounds, stairs, and unfamiliar experiences, but he's making progress every day. He is potty trained and has started training to continue building his confidence and skills. Patch loves relaxing, long naps, looking out the window and spending time with his people. He's playful, affectionate, enjoys soaking up pets and loves chewing on his favorite toys or working on a peanut butter-filled Kong. On walks, Patch stays right by your side. He's curious about passing dogs, people, and other animals, but he hasn't shown any tendency to pull, lunge, or bark. Like many herding breeds, Patch has strong instincts and can become overstimulated at times. He may try to herd movement (especially running legs!) or become a little mouthy during play, so he would do best with a family that understands herding breed behaviors. A home with older children may be a better fit than one with very young kids. Patch can be unsure around unfamiliar dogs and is selective about his canine friends. Slow introductions and patience help him feel comfortable, and he has shown he can enjoy walking alongside other dogs. If you think Patch could be the perfect addition to your family, he'd love the chance to meet you and find the forever home he's been waiting for.
