Story
Meet Benny — A Brave Little Survivor Who Refuses to Stop Loving Benny is an approximately 6-month-old Australian Cattle Dog puppy who never should have had to learn survival so young. Born to abandoned dogs and left to grow up without safety, structure, or protection, Benny spent his earliest months living in the wild. During that time, he suffered leg trauma that now requires corrective surgery. What should have been playful puppy days were instead days of navigating hardship. And yet… his heart is untouched. Despite everything he has endured, Benny is affectionate, loyal, and deeply devoted to his people. True to his breed, he bonds hard and loves harder. Australian Cattle Dogs are known for their intelligence, grit, and fierce loyalty — and Benny embodies every bit of that resilience. Once he trusts you, he is yours completely. He doesn’t act like a broken puppy. He acts like a hopeful one. Benny is working on his manners, as growing up alone, he did not have a loving family to teach him- thankfully his foster mom is patient. Benny will be undergoing surgery soon to repair his leg. After he heals and completes his recovery, he will be ready for the forever home he has always deserved. We are committed to giving him the medical care necessary so he can run, play, and live the full life that was almost taken from him. But surgery and rehabilitation come at a cost. If you cannot adopt, please consider helping us give Benny the strong, pain-free future he deserves. Donations toward his surgery and recovery will directly support his medical care and give this beautiful boy the chance to thrive. He survived abandonment. He survived injury. Now he just needs people to stand beside him, who him love, show him patience, and work with him. If you are looking for a loyal, devoted companion with grit, intelligence, and a heart that refuses to quit — Benny is waiting. And this time, his story is going to end in love. 🐾💙 APPLY TODAY TO RESERVE HIS LOVE FOREVER! Adoption Policy: Montague County Animal Rescue typically does not adopt dogs to homes where they will live primarily outdoors. We believe every dog deserves to be part of the family and live safely indoors. Exceptions may be made for specific breeds or unique circumstances where an outdoor environment is appropriate and secure.

Story
Meet Lily — Cuteness Overload in Puppy Form Lily may have been born to a feral mama, but you’d never guess it by the way she melts into a couch like she’s been practicing her whole life. This adorable girl has traded survival mode for snuggle mode — and she is thriving. Rescued and now safe, Lily is blossoming into the most affectionate little couch potato you could ever hope to meet. She loves being close to her people, soaking up attention, and settling in for cozy downtime just as much as she enjoys a little playful romp. Lily gets along beautifully with other dogs and cats, making her an easy addition to a multi-pet home. She has that perfect mix of sweet and silly — playful when it’s time to have fun, and perfectly content to curl up beside you afterward. She is highly intelligent and listens intently to her foster mom, knows basic commands and is leash trained. Lily loves to go for car rides- so load her up and take her home today! We believe she’s a mix of several breeds, possibly Border Collie, Australian Cattle Dog, and Labrador — which basically translates to smart, loyal, and ridiculously lovable. Whatever her DNA says, the result is pure charm. If you’re looking for a puppy who is equal parts brains, beauty, and snuggly goodness, Lily is ready to bring her cuteness (and her heart) home to you. Note: Adoption Policy: Montague County Animal Rescue typically does not adopt dogs to homes where they will live primarily outdoors. We believe every dog deserves to be part of the family and live safely indoors. Exceptions may be made for specific breeds or unique circumstances where an outdoor environment is appropriate and secure.
