Story
Bruno was my nephew’s dog and came to us after my nephew passed away unexpectedly. I don’t know much of his history. We did get him neutered to hopefully help find him a new home. Bruno is pretty standoffish at first but will let you pet him after some time. He does not get along with cats and has had a few minor tussles with other dogs.

Story
Zodiak is a 7 year old great companion. He's affectionate, He smiles at you when you come home from work. He is always ready to go do whatever you are up to whether it's hiking, mountain biking, a walk in the neighborhood or suggling up to watch a movie. He loves a good game of fetch with a ball or stick or whatever you can find. He is housebroken and can stay alone uncrated for long periods of time with no accidents as long as you take him outside to potty before you leave. He loves cats and is fine with them. He is usually nice with other dogs but he is protective of his toys and food so sometimes there can be fights. That's why I don't recommend other dogs in the home. He is a herding dog by nature so little kids he will try to herd. 10 and older are a better fit. He needs a fenced yard. He is good on a leash. He knows sit and stay and will shake hands for a treat. He's really a great dog. He is desperate for a new home that can love and care for him.

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Mia! Mia is making her debut here at our rescue after her owner turned her out on the streets in rural Oklahoma where she had several litters of puppies and developed severe hair loss due to years of chronic demodex. Her skin is soft now and most of her beautiful coat has filled in. She still has some bald spots and her skin scrape is negative, so we are unsure if she will have new hair growth in the bald areas or not. After wonderful care from our vet and foster mom, daily Apoquel and high quality food... Mia is ready for her forever home! Mia is the definition of a smart velcro dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side or in your car 24/7. Mia is the master of playing fetch, loves to tear up stuffed toys, opens gate latches and door latches! Although Mia loves people small children and small dogs make her very nervous...not aggressive as there are small dogs in her foster home...just nervous. She is fine with bigger dogs and kids! Mia's foster mom thinks Mia is part angel!! It's time for Mia to share her love with her new person! Could that be you? Interested in becoming a forever home for Mia? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
