Looking for a dog who can keep up with your weekend hikes and then completely melt into your lap for movie night?
Meet Jewell, a gorgeous 2-to-3-year-old Border Collie mix with a shiny, velvet-smooth short coat and a heart of absolute gold.
Jewell is the perfect blend of classic Border Collie brains and pure, unadulterated sweetness. She is currently thriving in her foster home in Bandon, Oregon, and is ready to find her forever people!
🌟 The Highlights
Adventure Ready: Jewell is an exceptional car rider, always eager for the next destination. She loves neighborhood walks, romping with her canine pals, and exploring the beach (where she has good off-leash recall once she bonds with her people!).
Brilliant Brains: Incredibly clever and eager to please, Jewell would absolutely thrive with a "job" or an active outlet. She currently benefits from a slow-feeder bowl to keep her smart brain engaged at mealtime.
Couch Potato at Heart: When the adventure is over, Jewell transforms into a professional cuddler. She is happiest rolled up right on your lap or spooning you in bed.
🏡 Her Ideal Forever Home
Jewell is a wonderful, healthy girl, but she does have a few specific preferences to ensure she hits the jackpot with her new family:
The Pack: She gets along famously with every dog she meets and would love a home with a playful canine brother or sister to wrestle and cuddle with.
The Humans: Jewell is naturally hesitant around human men. While she has made great progress and just needs to take things slow, her dream scenario is an active, female-led household.
The Environment: True to her herding roots, Jewell will chase cats and try to herd horses, so a feline-free and horse-free home is a must. (Surprisingly, she has shown very little reaction to local birds and baby deer while on leash!).
The Furniture Rules: Furniture access is non-negotiable for this snuggle queen! She needs a home where she’s fully welcomed onto the couch and bed.
