Story
**Note: Camper is currently in Korea and will travel to Montreal once adopted. His adopter will need to come to Toronto to pick him up. 🐾 Background This handsome boy was rescued from a slaughterhouse in the summer of 2022 in Daegu, Korea. After his rescue, he lived in a local shelter for three years but couldn’t find a home in Korea. After hearing his story, we brought him to our boarding house, knowing that a loving family is waiting for him in Canada. His forever home is out there, and he is ready to find it. 🐾 Personality & Behavior Camper is a wonderful Border Collie with a sweet and gentle personality. He has medium energy, much calmer than a typical Border Collie, making him well-mannered and easygoing. He is social and friendly, not shy around strangers, and he gets along beautifully with other dogs. Camper is never dominant or aggressive; he is always polite and affectionate. Among people at the shelter, he is one of the sweetest and most popular dogs, loved by volunteers for his friendly and gentle nature. 🐾 Daily Life & Habits Camper is well-behaved both indoors and outdoors. He goes potty outside and is easy to care for. He handles bath time and car ride well, and walks nicely on leash, though he sometimes gets excited by new sights during walks. He does not like being caged but has shown no signs of separation anxiety or destructive behavior. Camper is simply a sweet, well-mannered boy who makes life easy and enjoyable. 🐾 Health & Diet Camper has been on regular parasite prevention since his rescue and has had full veterinary checkups. He is dewormed, microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He is healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home. Camper eats kibble twice a day and has shown no food allergies. 🐾 Ideal Home Camper is smart, quick to learn, and very sociable. He will thrive in a home that enjoys spending time outdoors. While he does not require excessive exercise like some Border Collies, he enjoys daily walks, playtime, and outdoor adventures. He will happily balance activity with relaxation and is a perfect companion for a family who loves to include their dog in their outdoor lifestyle. Whoever adopts Camper will be very lucky to have such a gentle, affectionate, and loyal friend. ⬇️ Become Camper's family today through link below: https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/camper/

Story
Meet Blue 1.5 Years Old | Husky/Border Collie | Male Active • Affectionate • Loyal Blue is a joyful, energetic lovebug with a huge heart and so much potential. He’s being rehomed through no fault of his own — his owner is a single mom with a toddler living in a small apartment, and despite how much she loves him, she can’t provide the time, space, and consistency an active young dog like Blue needs to truly thrive. This incredibly difficult decision is being made out of love and with Blue’s best interests in mind. Blue lives for playtime! He especially loves chasing sticks at the park and has a blast at the dog park. He does well with other dogs, but he plays rough and would do best with a confident dog who can comfortably handle his size, strength, and enthusiastic play style. He is vocal when playing and likes to express himself with barks. At home, Blue is a total cuddle bug. He adores belly rubs, being close to his people, and having the sides of his face softly rubbed. He doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long periods and would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time. Blue is crate trained and does well when given a bully stick, antler, or chew toys to keep him occupied. He is house trained and already knows basic cues like sit, stay, and paw. As a young dog, he’s still learning and responds best to calm, positive reinforcement. Yelling or harsh tones do not work for him — kindness and consistency go a long way. He is good with kids as long as boundaries are respected (no hitting, pulling, or bothering him while eating). Like many dogs, Blue is protective of his food and treats and does not like them taken away. He also does not like being grabbed by the collar and may nip if this happens. He prefers slow, respectful handling and being approached calmly. With structure and training, these behaviors have already improved significantly since his early adjustment period. Blue was rescued at around 9 months old after being found abandoned on a highway, and it’s likely he experienced neglect early in life. Because of this, he can be sensitive — but with patience, kindness, and consistency, he blossoms into an incredibly sweet, loyal, and loving companion. Blue is looking for a committed, experienced home that understands young, large, active dogs and is willing to continue building his confidence and trust. With the right family, Blue will be an amazing lifelong companion — and an even better boy than he already is. Ready to meet Blue? He’s ready to meet his forever family. Blue is vaccinated, microchipped, has his flea, tick & heartworm prevention, is sterilized and will come with his medical booklet. Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months! We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things!
