She’s the one who will trot right over to say hello, politely accept a treat (because yes, she knows how to take them nicely like a proper lady), and then stick around to see what fun might be happening next. While she may have some Border Collie roots, Sierra did not inherit the “run 47 miles before breakfast” setting. She’s playful, yes. Silly? Absolutely. But overall she’s wonderfully balanced — affectionate, gentle, and laid back for a puppy. When fully grown she should be a fantastic medium size to enjoy all your adventures but still save a spot for you on the couch!! As she approaches her 9th birthday, she carries herself with the quiet confidence of a girl who knows exactly what she likes in life: A comfy couch. A warm lap (or at least a leg to lean on). And her person nearby. At around 30 pounds, Patches is the perfect “just right” size — big enough to feel substantial when she curls up beside you, small enough to fit perfectly tucked against your side.
