This handsome fellow is in excellent health, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. Beau’s Journey Beau's story is one of resilience and hope. He found himself in a large city rescue where more dogs are euthanized than adopted. He was placed on the urgent list, and just in the nick of time, an out-of-state rescue saved him. However, before he could be relocated, Beau suffered a severe infection following his neutering surgery. The rescue that saved him initially was unable to continue their support, but a compassionate local rescuer stepped in and invested $6,000 to save Beau’s life. Thanks to this generous intervention, Beau has made a full recovery and is now ready to find a family who can provide him the love he deserves. Beau’s Personality Beau is the epitome of a Border Collie: smart, active, and friendly. His intelligence and energy make him a perfect companion for someone who can keep up with his zest for life. However, it's important to note that Beau exhibits resource guarding over his favorite toys. Due to this behavior, we recommend a home without young children. While Beau likes kids, we’ve found that resource guarding and children are not a great mix. Lifestyle and Compatibility Activity: Beau loves going for walks and enjoys car rides. His active nature means he thrives in environments where he can be mentally and physically stimulated. Beau loves the water so any near a lake or beach would find him an excellent companion. Social Compatibility: Beau is friendly and does well with dogs his size or smaller. Due to a past altercation, he does not get along well with larger dogs.
