Meet Celeste: A Loving Border Collie Looking for a Forever HomeCeleste's JourneyCeleste is a beautiful 2-year-old blue-eyed Border Collie weighing 27 pounds. Despite her challenging start in life, she is now ready to find her forever home. Celeste is up-to-date on all her vaccines, microchipped, and spayed, making her the perfect companion for someone who can provide the love and patience she deserves.A Rough StartCeleste's life began as a street dog, surviving on the streets before being trapped by the Lancaster shelter. Due to her fearful nature and heartworm positive status, she faced the risk of euthanasia. Fortunately, a kind-hearted person named Liz saw beyond Celeste's fear and decided to rescue her. After undergoing a year-long treatment program, Celeste is now heartworm negative and healthier than ever.Current TemperamentWhile Celeste has overcome many challenges, she remains timid around large groups of strangers. Her past experiences on the streets, where she was often shooed away, have left her cautious. Despite this, Celeste has made remarkable progress in her rehabilitation. She has learned to crate well, walks beautifully on a leash, and knows to potty outside.Ideal HomeCeleste is good with most other dogs but would thrive best in a home without small children, as their energy might be overwhelming for her. She is a sweet and gentle soul who is easily startled, so a calm and patient environment would be ideal. With the right family, Celeste is ready to shower them with affection and loyalty. How You Can HelpYou can help Celeste find the loving home she deserves by joining our adoption group and sharing her story with others. Every share brings her one step closer to a forever family. Celeste's resilience and loving nature make her a wonderful addition to any home willing to give her the time and care she needs.Let's help Celeste find the happiness and stability she has been waiting for!

Story
Meet Beau: Your New Best Friend! About Beau Beau is a charming 1½-year-old, 45-pound male Border Collie who is looking for a loving forever home. This handsome fellow is in excellent health, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. Beau’s Journey Beau's story is one of resilience and hope. He found himself in a large city rescue where more dogs are euthanized than adopted. He was placed on the urgent list, and just in the nick of time, an out-of-state rescue saved him. However, before he could be relocated, Beau suffered a severe infection following his neutering surgery. The rescue that saved him initially was unable to continue their support, but a compassionate local rescuer stepped in and invested $6,000 to save Beau’s life. Thanks to this generous intervention, Beau has made a full recovery and is now ready to find a family who can provide him the love he deserves. Beau’s Personality Beau is the epitome of a Border Collie: smart, active, and friendly. His intelligence and energy make him a perfect companion for someone who can keep up with his zest for life. However, it's important to note that Beau exhibits resource guarding over his favorite toys. Due to this behavior, we recommend a home without young children. While Beau likes kids, we’ve found that resource guarding and children are not a great mix. Lifestyle and Compatibility Activity: Beau loves going for walks and enjoys car rides. His active nature means he thrives in environments where he can be mentally and physically stimulated. Beau loves the water so any near a lake or beach would find him an excellent companion. Social Compatibility: Beau is friendly and does well with dogs his size or smaller. Due to a past altercation, he does not get along well with larger dogs. He has been exposed to kittens and managed well, but we advise continued caution in these interactions. Is Beau the Right Dog for You? If you're looking for an intelligent, lively, and affectionate companion, and you have the environment and patience to manage his resource guarding tendencies, Beau could be the perfect match for you. He’s a testament to the power of second chances and is ready to embark on a new adventure with a family who appreciates his unique qualities. If you've ever wanted a dog with a remarkable story and a resilient spirit, look no further than Beau!

REO ALERT: This Dog is Too Good to Be Real Reo isn’t just a dog. He’s a four-legged ray of sunshine wrapped in fur, dipped in peanut butter, and sprinkled with zoomies. He’s fetch-obsessed, cuddle-powered, and socially fluent in both dog and human. Honestly? If Reo were a person, he’d be the guy who shows up at parties with snacks and helps clean up afterward. His past? Drama. Rescued, abandoned, re-rescued—like a soap opera but with more tail wagging. And still, this majestic creature walks into your house like, “What trauma?” and immediately acts like he’s been there forever. Bold. Iconic. Unbothered. Reo is house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained, and emotionally available. He’s the kind of dog who’ll hike a mountain with you, then spoon you during your Netflix meltdown over a cancelled show. Adopt Reo and prepare for a lifetime of laughs, love, and wondering how you ever lived without him. Side effects may include: excessive happiness, chronic tail wags, and spontaneous squealing of “WHO’S A GOOD BOY??” ##1571404##

Story
Meet Willow 🐾 About 3 months ago, while working as a home health nurse, I met a homeless woman living in her car with three beautiful dogs. One little collie mix quietly stole my heart. The woman asked if I could keep her “just for a little while” until things got better. It was obvious Willow loved her deeply, and I promised I would help. Sadly, the woman never came back for her. Since then, Willow has blossomed into an amazing young dog. She is now about 9 months old, fully kennel trained, spayed, and has updated vaccinations. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats. She is smart, affectionate, playful, and absolutely full of personality. Willow is a true herding dog — curious, observant, and always wanting to be part of whatever you are doing. She has the funniest little habits and stories that make everyone laugh. She has brought so much joy into my home, and naming her “Willow” fits her perfectly: gentle, graceful, and resilient.
