Story
Hi , my name is Jessie and I am a very special girl. My human best friend sadly passed away and because of that I ended up alone. When I first got to the shelter I was very very very nervous , and to be honest I still am. There are certain people here that I have grown to like because they take things very slow with me. I do not like it when someone stands over me and attempts to mess with my neck/leash/collar. I seem to be okay if you are down on my level. I do walk well on the leash and enjoy exploring on long walks. Sometimes I show my soft side and let certain people at the shelter love on me and have even crawled in a lap once or twice. But I am still very skittish. I do keep my kennel very tidy and have good manners when it comes to other dogs. The people here at the shelter want me to let you know that I won't be adopted out to just anybody. I need somebody who will take there time with me and get to know me , let me understand them. Because of  this anybody who is interested in me will be required to come and visit with me a few times while supervised to make sure it is the perfect fit. If you think we would could along I would love the chance to meet you and win your heart. I am an amazing dog deep down and so badly want to be in my own home again. March 4, 2026, 12:42 pm

Hi , my name is Ethel and I was brought in with my buddy Lucy. We were found wondering the streets and the nice people at the shelter brought us in to keep us safe. Nobody ever came to take us home , so now we are available for adoption ! I am very submissive and like to keep to myself. Going on walks is fun once I get to know you , but I am very shy when I meet new people. Laying around is also really nice too. There are some female dogs that I do not get along with. I keep my kennel here at the shelter very clean. March 3, 2026, 3:12 pm

My name is Shaboozey and I am looking for my forever family. You see I had an owner who I thought was a really nice person , but then she brought me down here to the shelter and just left me in the lobby all alone ! I was really scared but thankfully the amazing people here took me in instantly and have been taking care of me ever since. Even though I was abandoned I sure do love all the different people I meet here ! I am always up for kisses and cuddles. I keep to myself quite a bit and seem to get along well with the other dogs here at the shelter , but my favorite part of the day is for sure when the people take me outside to play !
