Story
Get ready to jam with our standout boy Sam! He is one popular pup with his friendly disposition. Without a doubt, Sam is an amazingly sweet boy and is friendly to everyone and everything. Sam is a 2-year-old Borzoi mix, and he weighs around 50 pounds. He is at the top end of the medium range, but it makes him and ideal size for cuddling on the sofa with room to spare. It is not surprising that Sam adores people and children. He loves to go outdoors to explore the world around him. He is in his element when he is among humans. Looking for a great companion has never been easier. Sam has not been introduced to cats since coming into rescue so it is unknown if he would welcome them as friends. Sam is not only great in the car, but he is also an easy-going walking partner. Whether traveling by foot or by car, Sam will gladly be your sidekick and confidante. He is a work in progress with his house and crate training. He knows it is a matter of practice, time and commitment to make it to the finish line. He knows his family will be cheering him on. Take the first step to meeting this wonderfully gentle boy with oodles of charm. Day or night, Sam is right where he belongs: in your heart and your family. His dream of finding a forever family can be your destiny. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Sam is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.April 26, 2026, 7:42 am

Story
WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 💛 Meet Your New Favorite Little Chaos Coordinator 💛 female - 3months (around 2/4/26) - 25lbs (expected to be 60+ish lbs fully grown) This girl is 100% puppy… and she takes that job very seriously! She’s got the curiosity of a detective, the coordination of a baby deer on roller skates, but beware she has the confidence of someone who absolutely believes your furniture should be her next chew toy. (Consider it her way of “redecorating.” You’re welcome.) A perfect mix of puppy chaos + heart-melting sweetness, she’s the kind of pup who keeps life interesting—and fills it with laughter while she’s at it. She’s crate trained and sleeps all night like an angel… but during the day? Oh, she’s busy. Exploring. Investigating. Wandering off on very important missions that may only exist in her head. She doesn’t go far or fast—but blink, and suddenly she’s like, “Don’t worry, I checked over here for you.” She’s currently working on house training (and doing marvelous) and learning how to operate her long legs (currently set to “slightly clumsy but adorable”), but she’s eager to figure it all out. 💛 Loves: people, playtime, other dogs, and WATER (future river adventure buddy alert!) 💛 Eating style: less “fine dining,” more “competitive speed event”—food is gone in seconds 💛 Special skills: sleeping so deeply you’ll check to make sure she’s still breathing, being irresistibly sweet, and keeping you on your toes She’s incredibly loving, very people-oriented, and does great with the other dogs in her foster home. Cats are currently a mystery, but at her young age, she should do just fine with proper introductions. At the end of the day, underneath all the goofy puppy antics is a truly sweet-natured girl who just wants someone to love her, guide her, and laugh along the way. If you’re ready for a little chaos, a lot of love, and a lifetime of “what is she doing now?”—this girl is ready to be your best friend 💕 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and get ready for daily LOL's!!
