Story
Hello, this is Bentley. He is a 1 1/2 year old mostly boxer mix. His foster father calls him the three legged wonder dog. He weighs about 42 pounds it is 21 inches tall at his shoulder. He needs a forever home. The ideal home for him would be 1 where several people live that can give him lots of attention. He's very affectionate and house broken, and kennel crate trained. He's very smart but also determined to do what he wants to do. Bentley has issues with separation anxiety. He would do well in a family of several people. Bentley does not do behave well with other small animals, like cat, squirrels or small dogs. He is a affectionate dog with his people and territorial with new people Bentley was stolen from his home summer of '23 and used as a bait dog for dog fighting. Injuries suffered necessitated amputation of front leg. His human father was killed in October so he has been through a bunch and needs TLC. He hates people wearing ball caps so be aware of that

Story
Wana arrived at Horse Creek Wildlife from the animal shelter on September 20, 2023. She is a friendly girl that loves her human friends. She enjoys spending time with our volunteers getting her belly rubbed, and she likes playing with other dogs in our fenced exercise areas. She is full-grown weighing 45 pounds, and we believe she is a Boxer/Hound mix. Wouldn’t you love to give Wana a long life in your loving home? All of our dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations. They receive monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All of their medical needs are taken care of before they are available for adoption. Our adoption fee is $100.00. Please complete an application, if you have found a dog you are interested in adopting. You can find our application at www.horsecreekwildlife.org/applic.html. Once completed, you can forward it to adoptions@horsecreekwildlife.org or fax it to 731-926-3000. Kim Austin, our adoption facilitator, will be in contact with you as soon as she has an opportunity to review your application. Understand that she has other duties and she will not ignore any interest shown in adopting one of our dogs. An application will need to be approved before a scheduled time to visit our dogs will be set up. It may take up to 48 hours before she returns your call or responds to your email, due to work schedules, holidays and adoption events. We do the very best we can for the dogs we have rescued and do not take the adoption process lightly. Please be patient and understand that we will place our rescued dogs in the very best homes possible and reserve the right to refuse applications.
