Winston is a four year old pure-bred boxer I have had since he was a puppy. He is very sweet, energetic and loves to play with his toys and other dogs. He also loves going to the dog park and playing fetch. Unfortunately I am looking for a new home for him because I do not acquire the space or attention he needs in my small apartment. His new home needs to have a large property he can roam and run freely in and someone with a lot of time on their hands. Winnie is also emotional support certified. (: Winston is a friendly, cuddle-loving giant who deserves a large loving home and all the love and care. *Note: I know boxers are notorious for being chewers. Winston is NOT one of those boxers.

Brutis, or Fruit Brute as he was warmly named by staff, is a brawny boxer mix and big love bug! I adore people and know sit and shake commands but I don`t quite realize my size. When I lay my head on your leg for body rubs the look of love in my eyes will go straight to your heart and melt it.I am a delightful, silly “wanna be lap dog”. I am a sweet, easy going, affectionate, animated 4 year old and I can be ready for an adventure or a game of fetch in a minute. My zoomies are superb and feel so good. I need a pack leader who is strong and willing to teach me patience and proper walking skills. I am working with everyone at the shelter to learn to stay down and since I am smart, I am already mastering this. I enjoy meeting friendly strangers.My previous owner passed away and I sometimes cry when I am taken back to my kennel. I miss not being at home because I bloom with human connections. I am a loyal and awesome family dog, a gentle giant with a big heart that just wants to be loved - belly rubs and ear scratches are my absolute favorite things in life!I am potty trained, neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines.If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a big dog with an even bigger love to give, I am here waiting for you. Dude is urgently looking for a loving home! Dude was brought in from a property with 10 other dogs. When they were brought to the Shelter they were completely shut down and fearful. Since then, we have been working tirelessly to get them to start trusting humans. While his life didn't have the best start, we are commited to making sure that Dude finds the loving home that we know we deserves. Dude has made strides here at the shelter and we believe he is ready for a Foster or Forever Home! A Home with another Dog would be best for Dude. Interested in learning more about Dude? Come meet me at High Country Humane located at 11665 N. Highway 89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Our shelter is open Thursday–Tuesday, 11am–5pm, and closed on Wednesdays. Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped (we register it for free!). Each adoption also includes a free health exam. This sweet girl has spent the last three weeks behind the Customer Service desk, and the transformation has been incredible. Jane went from shrinking away from touch to greeting the team each morning with soft eyes and gentle requests for pets. Watching her open up has been one of the brightest parts of our day — and we know she has so much more love to give once she finds her person. Things the team knows about Jane: I’m naturally cautious and still learning that the world is safe. I’ll need continued socialization and someone who understands that I bloom slowly — but beautifully. I do best when I’m given space to come forward on my own. Once I trust you, I quietly ask for affection and truly enjoy it. I’m solid with other dogs and prefer calmer, low-energy friends. I actually need to have a confident dog companion in the home — it helps me feel secure and brave. I’ve even joined the big playgroup! I’m still timid and learning to feel safe, so my future family should be extra mindful with doors, gates, and transitions — but I am absolutely capable of thriving with the right setup and support.
