Story
Rodney was born June 14, 2023 in Kingman, AZ. He was rescued by a local dog rescue along with his 3 brothers and a sister at 6 weeks if age. I officially adopted Rodney thru the Mohave Animal Shelter when he was 12 weeks old. I adopted him to train as a service dog. He has traveled with me throughout the states and has received some basic training, however he has not outgrown the puppy stage and is not an option to be trained to assist me. Rodney lives with my husband, myself and our 2 1/2 year old Rottwieler Rosie. Unfortunately Rosie has dysplasia in the shoulders and arthritis in her hips and knees. Rodney is very energetic and always wants to play rough with her since she is physically bigger than him. We love Rodney and Rosie very much however for Rosies physical safety we are needing to rehome Rodney. Rodney loves to be outdoors and is high energy when around other dogs. I is housebroken and kennel trained. He does counter surf at times but I believe that can be chllanged.

These pups are in Flagstaff, Arizona too!

Story
Chad is such a sweet & shy dog who came from a rough past and he's just now learning that humans can be kind. He has slowly been making progress at the shelter, but he really needs a home & committed family to continue his training & socialization. What we know: -Shy but very food motivated. Treats & meal time is the way to his heart to help him bond with his family. -Gets along with some dogs, but he gets picked on by a lot of dogs here at the shelter :( He would love a friendly dog friend to show him the ropes and play with him. -Working on potty training, crate training, leash walking etc. He will need your support & love to master these in a home! -He would love a confident, experienced dog owner to help him learn & grow! -Unknown how he is with kids or cats. But we would recommend no young kids due to his fearful nature. Come meet me at High Country Humane located at 11665 N. Highway 89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Our shelter is open Thursday–Tuesday, 11am–5pm, and closed on Wednesdays. Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped (we register it for free!). Each adoption also includes a free health exam. Please bring a leash and collar with you or plan to purchase here. We can’t wait to help you meet your new furry friend!

Story
Bella is a truly special girl with a gentle soul and so much love to give. Though she is losing her vision, she handles it beautifully and navigates her world with confidence once she knows her surroundings. She may be a little nervous at first, but her sweet nature shines through as soon as she feels safe. What makes Bella special: ✔️ Blind, but adapts and manages it very well ✔️ Potty trained & non-destructive ✔️ Leash trained ✔️ Very sweet and affectionate ✔️ Does best with a calm, patient approach. No young kiddos please! Bella would thrive in a loving home that understands she may need a little extra reassurance while settling in. In return, she’ll offer unwavering companionship, gentle affection, and a deep bond with her people. Come meet me at High Country Humane, located at 11665 N. Highway 89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Our shelter is open Thursday–Tuesday, 11 am–5 pm, and closed on Wednesdays.
