Security – The Sweetest Boxer Girl Around! 🐾 You better call Security… because this lovable Boxer is about to steal your heart! Security is a people-loving girl who wants nothing more than a family of her very own to shower with affection. Things my foster team knows about me: I’m a total cuddle bug and have absolutely no concept of personal space (the closer the better!). I’m fully potty trained and non-destructive in the home — a very polite housemate. I’m crate trained and stay calm and quiet when I’m in there. I LOVE playing fetch and have plenty of playful energy! I’ll happily run back and forth chasing toys until I wear myself out. When playtime is over, I’m perfectly content to curl up and sleep peacefully nearby. I’m very smart, curious, and attentive, and I listen extremely well. I enjoy playing rough and loud, which can look a little dramatic (and I can be a bit clumsy), but I’m all fun and not aggressive at all. I’m eating great and doing much better walking on leash as I continue to practice. Security would prefer to be the only pet in the home, but she more than makes up for it by being an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. If you’re looking for a playful best friend who will keep you laughing, cuddle close, and always be excited to see you, Security might just be your girl. Deebo has been my husbands dog for the last 6 years and was at another home until about 6 months ago. He got introduced to new animals and has sadly bitten all of them and seems to struggle having other pets in the home. I don’t want to risk my animals getting in a fight and sadly the other dog in the home is friendly with our other animals so we have to find a new home for deebo. He is so loving and the best cuddle dog. he’s crate trained and potty trained and is an incredible dog other than needing to be the only animal in the home.

Every great story starts with a journey, and Nomad has already traveled a long road to get here. He was found as a stray near Cameron by some compassionate folks driving through the Grand Canyon area. At the time, he was underweight and dealing with mange, and it was clear he needed a little extra TLC. Thanks to lots of care, good meals, and kindness from the shelter team, Nomad is on the mend and getting closer every day to the happy ending he deserves. Through it all, Nomad has proven to be the sweetest boy. He absolutely loves attention, especially head scratches, and his favorite place to be is right next to his person. Treats are another big favorite, and he’s happy to show off his “sit” skills like a pro if snacks are involved. Nomad is potty trained and has a medium energy level, making him a great balance of adventure buddy and cuddle companion. He’s also a massive cuddle bug who’s happiest when he can relax close to someone he loves. While he can be selective with other dogs, he may do well with the right match and would benefit from a meet-and-greet. And the best part? Once he finishes his mange treatment, his beautiful red coat will grow back in, and this already-sweet boy will be as handsome on the outside as he is on the inside. Come meet Nomad at High Country Humane, located at 11665 N. Highway 89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Our shelter is open Thursday–Tuesday, 11 am–5 pm, and closed on Wednesdays. 🐾 Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped (we register it for free!). Chad is such a sweet & shy dog who came from a rough past and he's just now learning that humans can be kind. He has slowly been making progress at the shelter, but he really needs a home & committed family to continue his training & socialization. What we know: -Shy but very food motivated. Treats & meal time is the way to his heart to help him bond with his family. -Gets along with some dogs, but he gets picked on by a lot of dogs here at the shelter :( He would love a friendly dog friend to show him the ropes and play with him. -Working on potty training, crate training, leash walking etc. He will need your support & love to master these in a home! -He would love a confident, experienced dog owner to help him learn & grow! -Unknown how he is with kids or cats. But we would recommend no young kids due to his fearful nature. Come meet me at High Country Humane located at 11665 N. Highway 89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004.
