Story
I’m Van Gough, aka Veegee or Vigo. I ended up at a CA shelter when I was 5 months old and the kennel mate I was with wasn’t very nice. I was beat up and lost a piece of my ear!!! That’s how I got the name Van Gough. The nice people at Boomer’s Place heard my story and worked some magic to get me out of the shelter and get my ear treated. I might be missing a little bit of my ear but it doesn’t affect my cuteness at all. I love people and all of the dogs at Boomer’s Place. I’m getting neutered soon so I will be ready for a furever home. I’m sweet, ooey gooey sweet. I love to snuggle and despite my age I’m pretty chill. I am house broken and use the doggie door like a champ. I don’t know what I am but everyone says I look like a Great Dane with some boxer characteristics. What is known is that I am adorable. I’d love to meet you and maybe move in….

Story
R.J. was adopted from our local shelter in Nov. of 2025. The adoption ended up not being a good fit and the owners reached out to the Positive Paws Org. to get him a new home. The home was very chaotic with R.J. had a lot of anxiety living there. he is now living in a foster home and is doing great!!! A ome that is calm is best. No small children and a yard is a must.

Story
ZELDA IS IN FOSTER CARE IN HESP CALIF AND MUST ME MET AND PICKED UP THERE. We have a GORGEOUS friendly 85 pound XL Bully girl named Zelda looking for a perfect and loving home with a family or person that is familiar with her breed. She is 10 months old, loves and adores people, doesn't like cats and preferably can go to a home with no small pets. We have introduced her to two large male Bullies and she did very well, tail wagging non stop. We found her abandoned in the Desert and she was afraid to come to me. After a week of feeding her we called in our trapper, Mike Ryan to help us rescue her. After setting the trap she was inside it within five minutes...We we opened the door she walked right out wagging her huge tail, wiggling her butt, gave kisses and took treats as gentle as a feather from our hands. She loves people and is a very happy girl...She had no one looking for her and was not microchipped so we can only assume her owner left her instead of taking her to an animal shelter, maybe hoping that someone would help her. Since taking her into our rescue we gave her a DA2PPV shot and one booster, Bordetella and Brochioseptia , Rabies shot , Spayed her and had her microchipped. We hope to find her a home soon so she can find happiness with a family of her own. here is some info on her breed. she is considered a MERLE which is a rare color. Zelda is a friendly and stunning dog. XL Bullies can be excellent companions for experienced families or owners. They are known for their friendly and affectionate nature, making them suitable family dogs when properly trained and socialized. Their loyalty and protective instincts can be beneficial in a family setting, especially with children, provided there is supervision due to their size and strength. Temperament XL Bullies are generally confident and gentle, often misunderstood due to their muscular appearance. They thrive in environments where they receive consistent training and social interaction. Care Requirements Owning an XL Bully requires commitment to training, exercise, and socialization. They benefit from regular physical activity and mental stimulation. Legal Considerations Potential owners should also be aware of local regulations regarding breed ownership, as some areas have restrictions on XL Bullies. ZELDA is ready to be adopted. she is fully vetted and ready to continue her training and socialization . She is strong on leash and is best to work training her while she is still young. She wants to please and gets so excited to be with her human. We took her to our vet twice for shots and spaying and the entire vet office lobby was enthralled with her beauty, appearance and friendly behavior. Everyone wanted to say hi and come over to pet her.. The most dangerous trait of Zelda is her HUGE tail wagging at the speed of light. watch out.........EMAIL ME AT ALPHADOGPETRESCUE@YAHOO.COM TO REQUEST AN ADOPTION APPLICATION

Story
Burt is one of the sweetest, gentlest dogs you'll ever meet. This adorable American Bully/English Bulldog mix weighs about 55 pounds and has the cutest short little legs, a roly-poly body, and a face that will melt your heart.Burt's family loved him dearly, but had to leave the country and were forced to surrender him to the shelter. Even during such a confusing time, Burt's loving personality never changed. He was a favorite among the shelter staff, passed every dog introduction with ease, and charmed everyone he met with his calm, friendly nature. When Burt ran out of time at the shelter, our rescue couldn't let this wonderful boy lose his chance. We brought him to safety, had him neutered, and completed corrective entropion surgery on both of his eyes. His eyes are now bright, comfortable, and free of the constant watering he experienced before.Today, Burt is waiting patiently in boarding near Hesperia, California, where he has become the "King of the Kennel." The entire staff adores him, and it's easy to see why. He's playful, gentle, incredibly loyal, and just enough of a clown to keep you laughing every day. Whether he's making you smile with his silly antics or quietly lying by your side, Burt simply wants to be loved—and he'll return that love a hundred times over.Adoption Fee: $300If you'd like to give Burt the forever home he deserves, please email Alphadogpetrescue@yahoo.com to request an adoption application.
