Story
Jojo is the most cuddly girl around. She loves being exactly where you are and if youre on the couch she wants to be under the blanket at your feet or snoring right in your lap!! Very smart and very silly. We rescued her just over 1 year ago and never had any chewing incidents, knows basic commands, crate and house trained . Walks decently well in her harness. All we were told about her experience before us was that she was dropped at a shelter and her time there was almost up. We decide to adopt to save that sweet girl from being put down. It’s with heavy hearts, due to life changes, we must rehome her. From her time in the shelter she does crave attention. She does not enjoy being left alone and we are looking for the right people to give her the love and care she needs for the rest of her precious life. Must not have other pets. Did great with 8 yr old, have not seen her with an infant. Fee includes her crate.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please read the bio of the rescue you are interested in to insure you are a match if you are a match the first step is to complete the online adoption application  Soldier is a handsome boxer boy. He is sweet and very affectionate. Loves toys and romping in the yard, a fenced in yard would be a plus for this boy.  He gets along great with other dogs. Has been started on crate training as well as leash training. Very curious in new surroundings.  Seems eager to learn.  Soldier is up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines. Microchipped and current on preventatives. He is not yet neutered as he is a bilateral crypt orchid. This means his testicle have yet to drop. The veterinarian wants to give them more time to drop. Therefore there will be a neuter deposit of $75 added to the adoption fee.  This will be returned to adopter once he is neutered.  If interested in possible adoption please go to Www.DelawareRescue.com and complete the online adoption application Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Hi I'm Luna. I have found myself signed up for HSWC summer camp. I'm not sure how that happened. I am young but a bit out of shape. Maybe I'm here to shed some lbs -that must be it! Nothing I can't handle. I'll be back down to my normal 58 pounds in no time. I like exercise in moderation. And I need to cut back on some snacks. I guess broccoli and greens beans are my new best friends. No problem. I can be pretty determined when I set my sights to something. Here are some highlights about me :Hobbies: 📺Tv watching🛋️Couch cuddles with my favorite person. I guess I should say I like hiking. Seems like a lot of work tho.🚘Maybe car rides to get a burger - I mean salad.🥗❤️I love my people. I'm happy when you are happy.I had a long term relationship that recently broke up. I'm crushed. I don't want to be here at camp and will work hard to get my athletic figure back and find a new love.(Currently 80 pounds.) 🔴🚫🙀I am a NO CATS girl. It's not even worth discussing.I don't want them near me or my stuff or my person. 🟢🐶 I can walk by dogs ok. Meet and greets required by staff to determine sibling compatibility. Stop by and meet me. I just might be the love of your life. Soulmates even. Don't delay I can't wait to settle in and begin our new adventure together. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 68.4 Age: 4yrs 8mths 0wks

Story
Meet Nellie 2 years old ·Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier· Approx. 50 lbs · Unaltered Female (Not spayed yet) “Nervous Nellie,” learning that the world doesn’t have to be so scary When you first approach Nellie’s kennel, she doesn’t rush forward to greet you. Instead, she quietly retreats to the back, curling into herself, hoping to disappear. Nellie is a scared, gentle soul who wears her fear openly because she’s never learned that people can be kind without conditions. Nellie came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t know what her life looked like before she arrived. But her body language tells a story all on its own. The way she tucks herself away, the way sudden movement makes her freeze, the way she hesitates before every step forward all speaks to a dog who has spent too much time living in fear instead of experiencing life. At about 2 years old and 50 pounds, Nellie is still young, but the shelter environment is overwhelming for her. Loud noises, busy hallways, and unfamiliar routines make it hard for her to feel safe. It takes time and patience to get her out of her kennel, and transitions like getting into a car can be especially frightening, but moving slowly and gently is the key. What helps Nellie most is the presence of other dogs. Around calm, confident canine companions, she finds courage she doesn’t yet have on her own. She watches them closely, follows their lead, and seems to relax just a little when she knows she isn’t alone. Another dog in the home may help her continue to build confidence. Nellie will need someone who understands that love doesn’t always look like tail wags and kisses right away. She needs a patient, quiet home where expectations are low and kindness is steady. Someone willing to move slowly, celebrate small victories, and allow her to come out of her shell in her own time. Nellie isn’t timid by choice. She’s responding to past uncertainty and with patience, consistency, and compassion, she has the potential to become a dog who finally feels safe enough to exhale. Nellie’s Highlights ✔️ Adult Boxer / Pit Bull Terrier mix, approximately 50 lbs ✔️ Gentle, timid personality ✔️ Very nervous in the shelter environment ✔️ Takes time to feel comfortable with handling and transitions ✔️ Gains confidence around other dogs ✔️ Would do best with a patient, calm adopter ✔️ A quiet home and slow introductions will be key Some dogs ask loudly for love. Nellie asks quietly, from the back of her kennel, hoping someone will notice her anyway. If you believe that the most meaningful bonds are built slowly, Nellie may be waiting for you.
