Story
Runner was found as a puppy on the side of the road dying with parvo. He was abandoned and all alone. I took him in and checked him in to the local vet for all shots and proper care and healing from the Parvo. Once all healed up, Runner became a great shop dog, frequent his favorite place the dog park and got all the snuggles and loving from him EVERY night and morning! Runner lived with just me for the first 2.5 years and did everything with me, 3.5 now and for the past year he has been living with my fiance and I with 2 other dogs and 6 cats and chickens. After moving and now commuting to work everyday , he is unfortunately limited to inside most of the day and desperately needs a big yard and acres to fresh air daily, I love this dog with all of my heart but he desperately needs the one on one love and care he deserves. He got his name because he loves to run! A lot! He loves everything and everyone and milk bone treats !!! Sweetest loving guard dog mutt❤ you will ever meet!

Buzz is a male Boxer/Bull Terrier who was born about 9/2011. He is up to date on shots and neutered. Buzz is an alpha male and doesn't do well with another alpha male, but is good with female dogs and submissive males. He is good with kids. Buzz showed up in the parking lot of a salon one day, he thought he needed a haircut, but the salon staff thought he could do without a cut and dry so instead called our rescue to come help with this cute pup. Can you be the home for Buzz where he can get regular baths and blow dry so he doesn't have to wander the streets and find a salon on his own.

Story
Swiper is a female Boxer/bull terrrier mix. She was born aroung 05/2011. Swiper was so desperate to be part of a family, she dug her way into someone's yard. Yes, I said in, not out! Lucky for Swiper, she dug her way into a rescue worker's back yard. We tried to find Swiper's owners, but no one claimed her; and we were not surprised. Swiper might be a bit shy at first, but she warms up very quickly when she learns you are friend and not foe. Swiper has tested negative for heartworms, has been brought up to date on shots, is spayed and microchipped. Swiper does well with other dogs, cats, and children. Will you be Swiper's new family that she has been frantically searching for?

Story
I adopted Faith from a rescue dog shelter on LSU’s campus. I’ve had her since she was just six weeks old. She’s well-behaved and an extremely lovable dog. She captures everyone’s heart as soon as they meet her. The only reason why I am giving her up for adoption is because I am disabled, and I cannot walk her anymore and it is not fair for her to be stuck inside with me all day long because I can’t walk her any longer. She needs a backyard and a place to play and I cannot give that to her any longer. When I take her over to a friend’s house and he has a backyard that is fenced in, her attitude changes completely. She is the happiest dog alive!. She just loves to run and play and be outside. Now don’t get me wrong, when it comes time to sleep and to cuddle, she’s an inside dog. She is housebroken.

Story
Meet Aleses!Aleses is a 2-year-old, 32-pound bundle of sweetness and charm who’s currently thriving in her foster home. Since arriving in care, she has truly blossomed and her foster family describes her as absolutely hilarious, full of personality, and an all-around joy to be around. She gets along with everyone she meets, including other dogs, kids, and even cats. Aleses is gentle and respectful, and she’s picked up on new routines and tricks quickly. She’s food motivated (hello, training opportunities!) but not food aggressive—she happily respects the boundaries of other pets in the home.Aleses is fully potty trained and has learned to communicate when she needs to go out, even though she’s naturally a very quiet girl. She doesn’t bark or whine, so her foster has gotten used to watching for her subtle cues—and they’ve got a great rhythm now.She loves her crate, happily settling in each night (especially when there’s a treat involved) and prefers to turn in early. She’s definitely not a night owl!Aleses is a snuggle bug who enjoys affection but isn’t overly clingy. She’ll happily sunbathe, relax, or entertain herself with toys—just make sure they’re the tough kind! Despite her playful side, she’s never chewed anything that wasn`t hers. She seems deeply appreciative of the comfort and love she’s receiving and often flashes the sweetest little smile when she’s happy. She’s also a bit smaller than she looks in photos—a true little “pocket pig” with a huge heart.-House trained-Great with kids, dogs, and cats-Quiet, gentle, and respectful-Crate trained and sleeps through the night-Food motivated and quick to learn-Loves toys and sunbathingIf you`re looking for a loving, easygoing companion with a silly side and a heart of gold, Aleses might be your perfect match. Aleses is currently in foster care outside of the shelter.
