Story
"DUDE" is an 8month old barrel of fun. He is 1/2 Pitty and 1/2 Aussie/Boxer. Just like his sister her is a sweet soul that could use a little training on leash skills, asic commands and a refresher on house training. Here at the shelter he seems to be house trained, but was said to still have the occasional accident in the home. Adopted and returned after the owner realized that Dude needs an active home, that has more time to spend with him, and a family because he has so much love to give!!

Story
Meet Lady 10 years old | Female Boxer | 54 lbs Don't let the gray on her face fool you. Lady still has plenty of pep in her step and a whole lot of love left to give. She was examined by our veterinarian yesterday and received a clean bill of health with zero concerns. She's simply a wonderful senior girl looking for a soft place to land and a family to call her own. Lady dreams of being the queen of her castle and would do best as the only animal in the home. She's great with kids, loves going for leisurely walks, and enjoys taking her time exploring every interesting smell along the way. Her signature look? That adorable little tongue that is almost always peeking out, making her impossible not to smile at. When we first shared Lady, so many people fell in love with her sweet face and goofy smile. We received lots of interest, but sadly no one followed through. While the world kept scrolling, Lady kept waiting. Senior dogs have a quiet kind of magic. They trade puppy chaos for gentle companionship, grateful eyes, and a heart that's ready to love with everything it has. Lady isn't asking for much, just a comfy bed, a few walks, lots of belly rubs, and someone who will keep their promise to bring her home. Could you be the happy ending this beautiful boxer has been waiting for? If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.

Story
Meet Sophie At 10 years young and 53 pounds of pure sweetness, Sophie is searching for the retirement home of her dreams. This gentle Boxer lady recently had a full veterinary exam, and the veterinarian had zero concerns. Sophie may be a senior, but she still has plenty of love left to give and is ready to spend her golden years as someone's cherished companion. Sophie absolutely adores people. She is wonderful with kids, loves attention, and will happily soak up all the pets and cuddles you can offer. One of her favorite activities is going for car rides, making her the perfect co-pilot for errands, road trips, or ice cream runs. Sophie has one simple request for her future family: she wants to be your one and only pet. She has made it very clear that she no longer enjoys sharing her space with other animals, so she is looking for a home without dogs or cats. After 10 years, Sophie deserves a soft couch, a warm bed, gentle hands, and a family who will treasure her for the amazing dog she is. If you're looking for a loyal companion to spend quiet evenings snuggled up beside you, Sophie may be the perfect match. Could you be the one to give this sweet girl the loving retirement she deserves? If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. Needing to rehome asap!!Meet Lacey! She is the sweetest pup when it comes to people! We just got her a couple of months ago from the shelter and unfortunately don’t think this is the right fit for her!! She is a big goofball with tons of energy but is also a super cuddly couch potato! She has been great with any and all people she has been around! We unfortunately have noticed some aggression when it comes to other dogs so she would need to be a single dog house hold! We do have a kitty that she has had some moments with but is overall good. There will be a small revoking fee to be sure she is going to a good home. We really want to find someone who can take time and love on her as she will do for you! I am located in the Grand Rapids area. Please PM me if you or anyone you know would love sweet Lacey!

Story
Tyson is a wonderful, 8-year-old Boxer-Pit Mix we welcomed at 9 months, and he has been a wonderful, obedient pet. He is an incredibly affectionate boy whose favorite things are snuggles and being with his people, though he can be overexcited when greeting. He requires little activity, crates very well (often hanging out in his open crate!), and is trustworthy alone in the house. We are rehoming him because our new family dynamics (including grand-babies), means he is receiving less attention and needs a calm environment to truly thrive. We are seeking a quiet, loving family who can provide him with the affection and attention he craves. He is neutered with no medical issues, is good with small dogs, and is comfortable in both unfenced and invisible fenced yards. Please note, he is somewhat protective of his home and barks at visitors/cars. We are confident he will be a devoted companion in a peaceful setting.
