Story
Izzy is a boxer/pitt mix I adopted from the humane society in Jan, 2023. She was taken there in Sept, 2022 with her 7 puppies. She was briefly adopted in Dec, 2022 but had to be retrieved by the local authorities after it was discovered that household had a history of neglecting dogs. She came a happy dog and adjusted to our home immediately. She loves to cuddle and sleep in bed with her humans, but also will go in a crate. She listens well, to a consistent owner and follows commands well. She can walk on a leash but hasn’t had much experience doing so. We brought a Pitt/german shorthair puppy home in July, 2024 and they got along and played together beautifully. However, that all changed in Sept, 2025, all over fighting over a piece of food. Izzy was the aggressor. We’ve had to keep them separate ever since. Izzy was sent to West Mi K9 for 3 weeks of training in Feb 2026. They still fight when together. We love her dearly, but cannot keep her in our home safely.
