He has a soft, tender temperament, moves through the world with kindness, and loves being close to his people. Story
Rowdy is a very good dog who is 8 years old, with a Christmas birthday. He can get excited when he sees people or animals outside the window, but overall he is affectionate and people-oriented. He especially enjoys snuggling at night and being close to his person. Despite his size, he truly believes he's a lap dog. Rowdy is loving, loyal, gentle, and enthusiastic. Rowdy came to us as temporary care while his owner worked on securing dog-friendly housing. We were told it would be short-term, but communication with his owner has since stopped despite repeated attempts to reach him. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to keep Rowdy and want to ensure he finds a safe, permanent home. Rowdy is neutered and has done very well with our two teenage boys. He is gentle with them and comfortable around kids who understand dog boundaries. He has some anxiety when left alone, so he would do best in a home where someone is around more.
