Since then, he’s been on a carefully managed feeding plan to help him safely and steadily gain weight, and he’s already starting to look and feel so much better.Through it all, he’s stayed incredibly sweet. Joe has a gentle, steady presence and seems to be quietly soaking up every bit of care and attention he receives. There’s something really special about the way he’s starting to relax and settle in now that life is finally consistent for him.We are still getting to know him, but what’s already clear is that this is a dog who is just happy to be safe.Since Oklahoma Joe was found as a stray, his history with other dogs or cats is unknown. Meet and greets are required with any dogs currently in the home prior to adoption.Oklahoma Joe’s adoption fee is $50. He will go home neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms.Our shelter operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Holds, deposits, and pre-adoptions are not allowed. Animals may transfer to other shelters or rescues at any time.Oklahoma Joe is still on his journey — but he’s finally heading in the right direction!
