Story
Bruno is almost completely done healing! His mouth looks great, his eyes are bright, he’s gained weight and his tail has only a couple of small scabs left! 💙CALLING ALL BOXER LOVERS!! 💙 Bruno is more than ready to finally find his forever home! If you know someone who is looking for a best friend and companion- let them know! This deserving boy is UTD on shots and neutered. His true age is unknown but we’ve settled on thinking he is more between the 5-6 year old range. He is amazing at his basic commands…sit, lay down, stay, paw and UP! When trail walking he has unbelievable leash skills…he never pulls on a leash and watches your pace to see if he should walk faster to keep up with you or slow down to stay right there by your side. He is a mostly calm boy who loves to lounge around all day (and would be happy to do so!) but loves to run and play with toys for just a little while (in a fenced in yard) when a companion is nearby. He has been great around multiple female dogs (male dogs are questionable though) and has not been cat tested. He’s only had a couple of accidents during times when he has drank lots of water and hasn’t been able to go out within an hour after doing so (frequent bathroom breaks are always a good thing!) He sleeps through the entire night by your side! This guy is truly something special…he is a velcro dog and is destined to be someone’s best friend. He follows you everywhere and will happily lay at your feet (or in your bed💕), go on car rides or just walk around the yard with you. He is a very faithful companion. He does get anxiety when left alone in a crate, so we are hopeful that he will be able to find an adopter who is retired, maybe works from home or just has the time to spend with him that he deserves. He is just a GREAT dog! If you know someone who Bruno sounds perfect for-please tag and share! This boy has been through so much and he’s ready to have a human to call his own! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ace is a special guy. He is the epitome of a Lovable, loyal, playful dog. He is eager to please, food motivated and is eagerly awaiting his new best friend. He does fantastic with dogs, loves to play with them, but would likely be just as happy in a home where he was the only dog to his devoted humans. He is around 12 months old, a boxer/hound mix, fully vetted, neutered and microchipped.  Once you have met Ace, to know him is to fall in love. He will make one home the most loyal family pet. Ace does great with older kids, but is nervous around smaller kids. (8-9 year olds + he seems super fond of) He previously chased kitties, so we’d suggest caution in a home with cats. He knows basic commands, and walks super well on a leash and is crate trained.   The adoption fee for this dog is $200.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. May 3, 2024, 2:51 am
